My question however was how is Ricco a better fighter than Badr and I did not seem to find the reasoning to back that statement up in you reply.

Okay, well I gave you technical reasons of why I thought he was a better fighter, which apparently didn't suffice. So how about the fact that Rico is currently dominating the sport and looking fantastic while doing it, while Badr is looking bad against guys he should be steamrolling over the last few years? We can argue legacy, but that isn't what this is about. We're talking about an upcoming fight and comparing the fighters current state going into this fight. You can't tell me that Badr is the better fighter in 2016.

Honestly, we all know Badr's decline is due to the poor choices in his personal life. As I pointed out I have no idea in what kind of shape/mental state etc is Badr going to show up.

His overall success though, at his prime, a fighter rarely becomes any better than that.

Purely technically Spong and Saki are the best, far more technical than Ricco etc. They however both lack in size.

When I judge about a fighter I look at his overall success, the difficulty of his opponents etc. To me Badr is amongst the best to ever fight in the very high end kickboxing game and it doesnt get much better than that.

And yes, we can easily agree that right now Ricco is in his prime, Badr is on the decline. Therefore right now Ricco is better. One should not be too quick to rule Badr out though. At least imho that is.
