That was some bullshit. The cop knew who he was and targeted him on purpose because of his reputation. Right after taking off without speeding and ya get multiple violations. Laughable.

If you know you're a high profile target, why be an idiot? You're right, that is some bullshit. Jones should know to follow the law.
 
I feel like this is a racist thread. I know that science says criminal behavior is mostly genetic, but there is NO NEED to bring facts into this.

Yep that cop was lame. If he wasn't speeding in a 35mph zone he wasn't drag racing, it's a corvette so 0to60 is like 4 sec. They are just giving him a hard time. Would have been in their best interest to not release the video because it was blatant targeting.
 
Admittedly Jones' speech seems a liittle slurred or perhaps just flustered and frustrated. Either way his car doesn't start without his breath and the cop did not analyse him just to be sure.

If revving your engine while stationary at some fans or anyone at all consistutes a crime then freedom is out the window. I've seen cops arrest people before in multiple countries and always maintain a level of professionalism. The cop here is a complete asshole. I'm no defence of Jon or his past behaviour but I think the conduct and behaviour of this particular cop needs to be evaluated by his superiors, and it's more embarrassing for them that this video was released.

Just cuz jon jones says he wasnt breaking the law doesnt mean he wasnt. Also if ur in the trouble w the law recently, you dont go off at the officer, which jones admitted he did and was wrong for doing.

Of course the cop knew who he was, he got away with a big hit'n'run and then was caught for speeding at 75 mph on a road with 35 limit a few weeks ago, not to mention his past DUIs. Don't you think the cops aren't after him? It goes with the territory once you accrue so many traffic violations, nothing surprising or out of the ordinary.

Criminal behaviour is not mostly genetic, it is mostly socio-economic. Poverty and high crime rates go hand in hand.

I kind of believe Jones in this. If you pay attention the cop never even specifically mentions how fast Jones was going with a number. That's usually the first thing out their mouths.
 
I thought it was pretty standard procedure for america.
