Redwoods meet the ocean. It's all right there.I went to Arcata once in the early 90's when we were camping up in the Redwoods, I really liked the vibe there, reminded me of a clean Santa Cruz
Arcata is a small town that you can use to sleep in a hotel as a satiailite and experience some of the most amazing natural wonders if you are down to figure it out..
The drive alone coming up the 101 is intimading and rightfully so.
People don't realize in the basic world we live in that there is a spot in California. Hard to get to and easy to enjoy.
I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't hugged an ancient redwood tree.
It's not hippie dippie bullshit. It's an opportunity to touch something that has been there before you and hopefully will be there after
