I kinda wanted Dr. Strange to bring out the time gem doing the old quarter behind the ear trick.

See? You had it all al ---

GIVE ME THAT!

I'll take the under. If the tally is more than 3 minutes, I'll straight up admit to being wrong.

Even if it was 5 min.. 5 min out of 2 and a half hours? Not cool. He was a side character, he deserves better.

scene in scotland, scene on the quinjet, scene at Avengers base, discussing where to take vision, landing in Wakanda, discussing plan of attack. battle

far more than 3 minutes

You're acting like half of those scenes you mentioned were big parts.. Other then his arrival in Scotland, running with Black Panther and " I am Steve Rogers," he had a pretty underwhelming part in this 2.5 hour movie.

Not sure how anyone can say different. 3-5 minutes, it doesn't matter.

Cap was barely in the movie.

there were like 20 major characters that had to get screen time and a decent shine.... Cap was one that got a decent shine, he was at the fore front of all his scenes

He was the one calling the shots for the most part for the Wakandan front. With Thanos scenes aside, the major 3 Avengers had their own teams to lead.

Iron man w/ Strange, Spidey Guardians
Cap w/Wakanda defense
Thor w/Guardians & Stormbreaker

Cap's gonna go out with shield in one hand and Stormbringer in the other and somehow Bucky's boner in a third, impossible, hand (it's his butt).

I think he hates working out to that degree, which could be just complaining about the grind. But when I'd read that it seemed like he wanted to put a limit on the number of times he wanted to play Thor.

That's what she said.

Yeah, I seem to remember Hemsworth saying the first thing he does after making a Thor movie is to stop working out and lose weight. He says he doesn't feel comfortable being that big.

I don't know what his Thor Weight is, but I'd guesstimate around 230.

Nothing to say he has to be in the film a giant amount for it to be successful of course. I mean I think he has a clear presence in the plot as the leader of the earth based Avengers but its not really the most dramatic story is it? characters like Stark, Strange, Thor, Vision, Starlord, Gamora etc clearly have more meat to their stories in this plot so the film is naturally more focused on them.

The Russo's strength as writters and directors for me has always been that they know where to put their focus, unlike say Wheadon with Ultron who was all over the place. In a film with this many characters giving everyone a lot of focus would have made for a big mess IMHO, as it is things obviously seem setup for characters like Cap, Widow, Hulk, etc to get more focus in the sequel.

gotta be around that, he looked bigger in Thor 1 than he is now..... but he's like 6'4 or 6'5. gotta be at least 230 when he's bulked up

Directorially they've come a long way since WINTER SOLDIER. They've gotten better at framing action, but more importantly they've left themselves breathing room for hero shots, especially showcasing new costumes.

Agreed 100%

Cap and Hulk are going to shine like how Tony and Thor did in IW

The end is of course a perfect way for them to end up with exactly the cast they want to focus on in the second film.

Infinity War really ended up being 4 main plots I'd say...

Stark/Strange/Spidey
The Guardians and Thanos
Thor and Rocket
The Earth based Avengers, especially VIson and Scarlet Witch.

Ultron on the other hand had...

Stark vs Cap
Hulk/Window Romance
The Twins
Hawks Family life
VIsions Birth
Ultron himself

Actually more subplots and there linked together less successfully where as Thanos ties everything in IW together pretty well.

I think you mean Starlord w/ Strange, Spider, IronMan, Guardians. The 3 Chris's are on top (Cap, literally a top)
They had to make Starlord look like an idiot to maintain the facade of Iron Man's "leadership"

I didn't have a problem with the action in WInter Solider at all(indeed I think some of the best in the MCU as a whole) but that film was also I'd say rather different in tone, as a spy action thriller I don't think you want as many "hero shots" and of course the main characters themselves are less eye catching.
