Great movie, I loved it. My initial score, 9/10. Maybe a 9.5, I'll have to watch it again.

So the things I liked:

Well, pretty much everything. There was a lot of action, and it was all pretty great. It was funny, with some serious moments. Thanos was the fuckin man, very awesome villain with some good depth to him. His CGI was on point. Dr. Strange was a serious badass, definitely one of the biggest guns on the heroes side. I really liked Thanos' herald/henchmen. They were pretty serious players themselves. There was just so much going on, my mind was having a hard time keeping up sometimes, it took me a few hours afterwards to process everything I saw. The giant midget threw my mind for a loop haha. The scenes with Thor hanging out with the Guardians were pretty great. It was just an intensely awesome movie, and I can't wait for the next one.

Some of the things I didn't like:

Now there weren't many, but if I had to nitpick. I think Vision being on the bench the whole time kinda sucked. And because Scarlet Witch was tending to him, she too was benched quite a bit. The no hulk was a little disappointing, but the whole "hulk being scared" thing was kinda badass. I didn't like the look of Iron Man's suit, but I did like the nano tech. Black Widow sometimes seems a little OPed for a human chick with no powers. However, Scarlet Johansen must be working pretty hard on her choreography because her fight scenes are always top notch. I didn't care too much for the Ms Marvel reference, but its not a big deal. And that's about all I got for my nitpicking.

Go watch it, let's get this baby to the 2 billion club!

I agree that Star Lords actions may not have mattered. But he didn’t know it didn’t matter. Thus making him 4th grade level emotional intelligence

But doc strange would have seen it and if that was a factor then he would done something about it (like telling him in advance). The fact that strange allowed it means it was meant to happen this way.

great movie, i wish there was more fight scene between Thanos and Thor with new hammer

I don't even know where to start.

Gave it 9 out of 10, as it could have used a little polish in random areas; like the aforementioned CGI. Other than that, I'd say it was 'perfect'. This movie was exactly what it needed to be in regards to Thanos wrecking shit upon his much anticipated arrival and quest to build the Infinity Gauntlet... This Infinity arc could almost be a trilogy.

The Black Order was pretty rad, Maw being the standout. His nonchalant attitude towards everything while being the herald of Thanos was fun to watch.

The Guardians of the Galaxy stole the show, these folks are just awesome with their characters. Can't wait for their next flick.

Thanos... Man. What can be said about Thanos? Dude's a bad ass. Brolin's performance is outstanding.

Some speculation:
The only characters that are truly dead are those that died without being turned to ash. Heimdall, Loki, and Gamora* are toast. The only remaining characters that have a chance to die are those that didn't get turned to ash and the only one I feel that is safe is Rocket but I feel like Okoye and M'Baku have really good chances of surviving as well. I hope Thor is as I would like to see another movie with Waititi at the helm but I feel that he, Nebula, Iron Man, Cap, Widow, Rhodes, and Banner all have really good chances of biting the bullet, with either Cap or Iron Man being guaranteed... One of the big characters has to die to really hit home with what this all means and the long journey we've all been on watching it play out. Maybe Hawkeye if he shows up, I'd think Ant Man and Wasp are safe if they pop up as well. But I'm leaning Iron Man as dying, as it'd be interesting to see Bucky take up the Cap mantle for a couple movies and then have the inevitable return of Steve Rogers to help fight a new big bad... I mean... Red Skull is still out there, which what a surprise that was.

All the ashed characters will be returned to form by the end of the next movie, it's pretty obvious. If Vision isn't repaired, Scarlet Witch will go her crazy route to potentially set up a future Avengers film. Gamora* may wind up being revived by Thanos, as now that he has the Infinity Gauntlet he can do that. By the end of the next movie, even if it's while Thanos is on his last legs, I see Gamora being revived.

What a satisfying movie.

I mean really, Feige is a movie producing god and the Russo's directed a spectacular movie. With all these names, characters, all these damn people... They were all featured and had a reason to, this movie was balanced despite everything going on. Fantastic.

They best not kill any of the Guardians of the Galaxy damnit. Nebula sure, but none of the rest.

Also, I hope Captain Marvel isn't going to show up to be the big savior of the MCU. What a letdown that'll be.

what if both Red Skull and Gamorra are trapped in there..... and when the GotG go to rescue Gamorra they will actually rescue Red Skull in Gamorra's body

Or what if Gamorra and Red Skull hit it off and when the GOTG find them, theyre living in a trailer park with a buncha yellow babies
A fate worse than hell...

Maybe it’s too early to speculate on IW part 2 but a line that Thanos said to Tony made me curious. He said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “I respect you Stark. I hope people on Earth remembers you.” And then was about to give a killing blow before Strange offered the time stone.

Now, it’s certain that the heroes who got dusted will definitely come back. On how the remaining Avengers will manage that is up for speculation but I’m guessing that there will be an exchange. The original (Ironman, Cap, Thor, Hulk, etc.) will be replaced by the new avengers (Strange, Spidey, Black Panther, etc.) and somehow the reality will shift in that Tony and co. will be forgotten. Only Strange the the new group remembers the original team.

I dunno, I think I read that storyline on some comics (maybe Sandman?) but when Thanos said that, it hit me that maybe that’s what will happen

Just pirated the movie and watched in really shitty quality.

Pretty great.

Really wonder what the "end game" phase Dr. Strange had in mind is really about.

In the beginning of the New York scene, did any else half expect the Defenders to make an appearance? I mean New York is getting wrecked and where is Daredevil, Cage, or the Punisher? Would've been cool to have a cameo at least.

Another thing:
I assumed Zemo would have some kind of part. Didn't he allude to Thanos after his capture?

10 years in the making and you won't even give them your money? Pretty weak man

Nooooooooooooooooooo! Bucky! my favorite character FUCK! I hope he's not gone for good, Stan has a couple movies left on his contract

side note excellent movie, loved the scene where Buck picked up Rocket lol!

He did say "Right now."

Right now... he has the axe. Before he didn't. Is the "Groot Axe" stronger than Mjölnir? It certainly put a hurting on Thanos.
I think its a combination of him powering up at the end of Ragnorok(during his fight with Hela) and now weilding stormbreaker is why Thor is so powerful. Im not sure if Stormbreaker is considered more powerful than Mjolnir, but maybe thats what is being alluded to in IW

you dont need to use spoilers tags anymore dude

I’d guess that in order to bring back those who were faded a sacrifice will be needed. It’ll more than likely be Cap and/or Iron Man.

I’m hoping for an Armageddon style “i love you Harry” moment.

Yeah one of those two is going to die
I think we all know in our hearts that it's coming down the pipe

ffs we're going to kill off all these super heroz with them just turning to dust & blowing away? Can I please do a re-write where Thanos rips them in half & beats one of them to death with the torso of another. I'm not an advocate of that kind of violence... but I'm just saying that there could've been major opportunities to make some classic screen time deaths where Thanos is just ripping through our favorite super hero'z left & right... but instead of that, lets just have them disolve into dust.

I would assume now that all the Marvel elitists can't bash on star wars any more for making Luke disappear into the force ... so that's a positive I suppose.

I really don't care for that, but we're 50% of the story at this point... so I'll give the story a chance to unfold before i pass to harsh of a judgement. With time travel in the mix, I'm going to assume that everything moves on like none of it ever happened... & everyone is still alive.

Saw it the 2nd time and give rate it a solid 9.

I brought my mom and dad whos are slight casuals with superheros.

Never saw any of the 18 movies so I gave a brief synopsis prior to the movie. Mom expected batman and wonder women to show up lmfao.

They both loved it, and suprisingly got invested that ultimately experienced the shock factor.

On my end, because the shock factor and nerdgasm has worn off a bit Im able to observe it much emotionally clearer. That and I saw it non 3D which was waaaay better.

Every space scene felt like vintage star wars this time around.

Every emotional scene with Thanos still hit me. Score and acting, dialogue on point!

The chemistry and dialogue of the stars were on point as well.

Wakanda did feel a bit meh, and everything felt sort of all over the place up until thanos showed up.

The last bit still felt like a horror movie for me.

Helpless, clueless, and you can feel stark felt like a failed father/mentor to peter but also a failed hero.

One of my favs for sure and definately my favorite up to date.

Thanos is one bad muther******

LOL @ these fucking scores.

It's a 7 at best and a lower-mid-tier Marvel movie overall.
