I may be mistaken, but I think she was only strong and able to fly at the time....

I'll have to look it up to make sure

She's definitely gotten powered up over the years.

When Danvers was Binary she was at the same strength level as the Hulk.
What has she developed recently? I'm reading things online that she's the most powerful Marvel hero?! Is that true?

Saw it again. The movie is too damn long. For this many action scenes it starts to get Transformers like after awhile. Don't sit close to the screen or it'll feel like you're getting beat up too. Straight up I was feeling like Vision towards the end there, my head still hurts.

I'm convinced Marvel is deliberately writing Spider-Man to be annoying and immature as a middle finger to Sony. Andrew Garfield would've been better in the role, but that ship has long since sailed I suppose.

Still a great movie, though I'd vote 8.5 if it were an option instead of 9.

Carol's most powerful version is when she became Binary back in the 80s X-Men.

Good to know that after all these years....

So the Spider-Man line about being from the future, which I imagine is just a throwaway, it still gets me thinking. He hadn't gotten the new suit yet, but it does seem like some random stuff Peter would say. Could be something that they were just trying to slip by that they could callback to in the next one.

They are going to make Carol insanely strong. No doubt about it. Basically the complete opposite direction they went with Thor, Vision, and Wanda. Props to them for finally leveling Thor up though.

according to wiki she wasnt Binary until after Rogue had stole her powers.... but it also seems like her power level has fluctuated throughout the years

I feel like she got some more power creep a few years back, probably because of Civil War 2. Not back to Binary level though iirc.

not touching this lol

But when Rogue stole her powers she was up there with Iron Man and Wonder Man.

Where is she now compared to those guys? Like I said, I haven't read a comic in a few years. Marvel has always been very powerful, is she now Sentry level or something?

lol but Spider-man is supposed to be immature and annoying

maybe Im mistaken, its possibly because she has become more mainstream in recent years..... I always knew she was powerful, I just assumed because Rogue isnt capable of half of what Carol is that she wasnt as powerful back then

yeah Thor is probably the biggest hitter right now, gotta be stronger than Hulk imo

He’s immature and endearing. I wouldn’t change a damn that no about him, except the whole don’t exist anymore thing.
oh yeah I dont mean annoying as in he annoys me..... but the other characters/villians are usually annoyed by his immaturity and constant chatter.

I think he's brilliant :D

I enjoyed the movie. It was non stop in your face and maybe even a bit overwhelming. My favorite moments were Dr. Strange going one on one with Thanos, the Red Skull reveal, Cap and Panther running ahead of the pack like 2 bad asses and the whole fight on Titan, especially the part when Mantis had Thanos in a coma.

"I am Groot, I am Steve Rogers" as well as "Why is Gamora?" got the biggest laughs out of me <Lmaoo>

Thanos was amazing. I do think we got too much Thanos though and as a result guys like Bucky, Panther and even Cap just didn't seem important. They took all the intensity and aggression away from Winter Soldier, he's just another guy. Black Panther was also just another guy. Cap needed much more in my opinion, I hope we get that in the next one. Some dialogue between him and Thanos would have been great. It felt like he barely used those new shields, I totally forgot about them.

My biggest issue with this movie was the camera work. It seems like a lot of the action scenes were zoomed in too much even on an IMAX screen. Some shots were going way too fast I thought, it was hard to make out things and it's even much harder trying to remember any epic shots because of how fast they went by. Camera cuts were nasty too.. The part with everyone trying to get to Thanos in Wakanda and kept getting swatted away just didn't look right to me. It just looked really lame lol. The first 2 Avengers did a better job with the camera work in my opinion. Though the Dr. Strange fight scene with Thanos was fucking amazing...

I also don't think they did a good job showing what Thanos can do without the stones. We first see him with the power stone already. I'm still not sure what the Power and Mind stones really do. Especially the Mind stone..

Loki's death was super underwhelming as a big Loki fan. He's the "God of mischief" and he pulls off the most used tactic of all time? That just made him look like an idiot, he deserved better

Michonne from Walking Dead was great. Dr. Strange was the MVP for me.

7.5/10

What are Captain Marvel's weaknesses? I'm worried she will be way too OP like Superman.

Besides being touched by Rogue lol.

Watched it again. Pete definitely said “Field Trip”.

Confession time. When I heard Thanos speak in the first Infinity War trailer, I was worried because he sounded... too human (for the lack of a better term) and there was a playful tone to his words. I thought it was going to be Ultron all over again. While watching the film, he did retain the same qualities he showed in the trailer but so much more. He is fully fleshed-out character and not some stereotypical megalomaniac like Steppenwolf.

As I said in my review, I think Thanos will go down as one of the most memorable talking CGI character alongside LOTR's Gollum and Caesar from the new Planets trilogy.
