Not bad. Keanu Reeves as Doctor Strange really sticks out as a poor choice though.

By the Eye of Agamott-WOAH!

Actually thinking about it, Keanu would've slayed Dr. Starange bec. the Marvel movie hit the same narrative points the first Matrix movie did. It was sort of a ripoff really.

Has this been posted yet? Pretty funny.

With the exception of Civil War and maybe Winter Soldier, this looks better than literally everything that's come out post-Phase 1.

In the 90s Fury would have been played by Tom Selleck or Harrison Ford.

I think he'll get two stones in this movie and two stones in the next movie.
Sheeeeit I'm a get too stoned for this movie and too stoned for the next one too, my dude! Up top!

Selleck had no star power at all in t he 90s. Ford is a good choice and maybe Connery

Does thanos back story make sense to anyone?

We don't know what it is yet, beyond Titan being destroyed. It seems implied that the cause of Thanos' home planet's destruction was over-population. Hence the Mad Titan wanting to wipe out half of all life in the universe to prevent the same thing happening again.

I know its fictional but theoretically speaking, how does wiping out half of life in the universe balance or prevent that?

Hopefully the movie has answers.

Im also assuming russos are going out of there way to explain some things that wont be in the movie to avoid any spoilers.

You have to remember that Thanos is an alien; his thought processes and emotions may be radically different from how humans perceive and interact with reality.

Also, it doesn't have to make sense. Adolf Hitler's beliefs and theories on race, religion and history were completely fucking retarded. He still started a war that killed 60 million people.

Lastly, there is a certain twisted logic to Thanos' plan: by reducing the population of the universe by half, you automatically reduce pressure on and demand for resources.

Boom. There it is. The only thing now is for the reviews to come out great and push it over the top.

Real people from history have had similar ideas.
Mao:
“If the worst came to the worst and half of mankind died, the other half would remain while imperialism would be razed to the ground"

Thanos's motivation also resembles Hitler's obsession with Lebensruam; exterminating all, "inferior" races so the Third Reich would gain Living Space for Germans.
