In fairness, if I was as Jacked as Hemsworth, I'd only put on a t-shirt when hypothermia was about to set in. One critic described taking his wife to see the first Thor movie. She made it clear she wasn't a fan of comic book movies...until Hemsworth's shirtless scene.

When do final box office numbers come out following a movie

3-4 months it depends on the movie.. 5 if it's really a successful one but you get an idea of whats what long before then.

The 2 dozen people that didn't like TLJ will not be an issue for Ep. 9 sales.

Once Ep. 9 is released then the handful of haterz will realize they've been looking at it the wrong way & they will flock to the theaters in support.

They come out pretty much the next day... like you know the official numbers for the weekend by the end of Monday. (Tuesday at the latest.)

For what you're doing here, you'll have to wait till the end of the entire theatrical run. TLJ ran 18 weeks... so right around 4 1/2 months... So the official result for Ep. 9 will not be in until early May 2020... but like Brother One said.... you'll probably have a really good idea of whether or not it's going to do it long before then. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=weekly&id=starwars8.htm you can see here how it was just trickling sales in from a few theaterz for a little more than its final month. (note: These are just domestic numbers, not world wide... but it can give you the idea.)
