IW is #4 on the all time money list as of this last update on Box Office Mojo and just a mere $27MM or so from the #3 spot last I looked. Can it make it or is it pretty much done?

It's done.. for now. At most it can get a few million not sure if it can even reach 2.050 let alone more that is needed to overtake TFA.

It's only playing in North America as of now and it only has 375 theaters and that number will go down in each week.

For it to make any other moves on that list it will need some special circumstances like them being nominated for some Oscars and winning a few and then the studio deciding to capitalize on the buzz and re-release it in cinemas for a limited time like 1500-2000 screens for 3-4 weeks. That can get them a few good millions if all the conditions are met this is what I suspect it will happen with Black Panther... currently BP is trying hard to get to 700 mill domestic (NA) $699,900,993 they are 100k away as of now and playing in 28 cinemas, they could up it for 1 weekend like an influx of 300 screens just to get them over the hump even if it costs them more then they will make.

Not with tree fiddy theaters now world wide.

Plus TFA will likely be re-released in order to be played as a whole Trilogy viewing with Ep. 9 when it comes out... so that will nudge it ahead even further.

Last Jedi not only left us with hardly anything to anticipate but disappointed many, like it or not.

It's like the Sonnon/Silva fight, the rematch did bucket loads, and the rematch with Thannis will too!!

I think IX will shock people with how it under-performs unless they have the most stellar marketing ever. Last Jedi didn't leave us wanting more so the trailers have to show something EPIC

Spoilers alert..... everyone will come back from the snap... in fact probably Gamora and Vision will be back.

Yes people will see it but not 2 billion this time.

While Star Wars will have a longer brake and you all are underestimating that JJ dude he cuts trailers better then he makes movies.
