I see. I meant Captain Marvel. Although probably not as SJW as Muslim Marvel there but I hear Capt Marvel is still pretty SJW

She had a military theme for a long time. Ms Marvel is def a good marvel title though. Better than Captain marvels past series I’ve read.

not true at all. I just posted about her powers but she's a former AF pilot, a military woman, she doesn't take shit from anyone and is very logical.
people calling her (or Kamala really), a character introduced in the 70s, a SJW character is emblematic of the moronic alt-right stuff going on in comics right now.

the original Captain Marvel was Mar-Vell of the Kree, then Carol was Ms. Marvel, became Cap Marvel in late 90s (at Steve Rogers' pushing) and has been Cap for a while now. Kamala took the Ms. Marvel name after Terrigensis to honor Carol.

She was the main player in CW II, the whole precog justice stuff and the fallout, but most of her adventures are based in space with the Ultimates and her most recent storylines revolve around searching space for a Kree child that was taken, working out of Alpha Flight space station.

Actually now, she was taken into another reality and got possession of the reality gem, she is gonna be a factor in the Infinity Countdown event. It was a fun story, the Guardians were bad guy smugglers in that reality, that universes Carol was a villain as was Black Widow, while Thanos was a major hero and like the universes policemen

Her role was much more prominent when Bendis took over writing duties more than a decade ago.
 
I forgot to mention Monica Rambeau, the black Captain Marvel in the 80s, who is now Spectrum.

yeah he really stuck her into a lot of stories she maybe wasn't a great fit for her, i.e. making her Jessica Jones' best friend. But Kelly Sue DeConnick had a great run when she did the Cap Marvel book

Correct

There was also a male alien Captain Marvel before Carol Danvers took the mantle. He'll be in the movie, played by Jude Law.

He probably won't be called Captain Marvel at any point though. His name is Mar-vell, then after Danvers gets her powers she'll adapt his name into her title.

I liked the way she was used in the Alias series as a contrast to Jessica. I didn't like her because she was written as kind of a bitch, but I think maybe that was the point.

As far as I know, Michael B Jordan is the only actor in MCU that was a comic book fan. It means while it's great that the actors have respect for the material, a love or knowledge of Marvel is not required to buy in to the universe and create a good rendition of the character. So Brie will be fine although I'm nervous about the direction.
 
They just confirmed what I was saying about Avengers 4 tie in and Anti-Man again for those where planning on skipping Ant-Man go figure.

 
Marvel wants the Captain Marvel movie to do for its female fans what The Black Panther did for its African American ones.

I watched the movie the first day it came out. People actually clapped and cheered when Cap came out from the dark like a fucking hobo. And i was like, fuck yeah!
 
Yeah, when Cap caught that spear, and then stepped out of the shadows with that look in his eye, with his theme music playing in the background, I about fainted like a southern belle.
