Simply having them doesn't give you power, and they all have different powers. And the stones powers are activated when Thanos closes his fist.

Hulk got beat by Thanos using the POWER stone.
Thanos didn't use the stones on Cap. He punched him with the opposite hand.
Tony and his team were keeping Thanos' hand open so that he couldn't use the stones. And when he did use them he took out the Guardians and the rest of the group

Thanos had full use of the glove the moment the mind control bit was over. Stark went toe to toe with Thanos alone for longer...took more blows and landed his own...drawing blood.

That's of course, after Stark survived the moon being dropped on him.

Just sayin.

Stark > Hulk > Cap.

Thor looks like he is slightly stronger now, with the help of the stormbreaker which he couldn't make on his own. Stark however is just a normal dude who gave himself all his powers.

I say that with confidence because without Stormbreaker, Thor got bitch slapped by a 1 stoned Thanos at the start of the movie.

After every fight since Iron man 1 Stark has improved his tech/gear to deal with past obstacles. I have no doubt that he will continue to advance his tech beyond Strombreaker Thor.

But yes, at this moment, Storm Breaker Thor is better than Stark. But Stark is better than Hulk and Cap. Cap and Hulk havn't improved since their introduction.

lol no.... Stark wont ever be able to match the power of Thor with Stormbreaker. Also you do know why the hulkbuster armour was invented dont you? its because the Hulk is pretty much undefeated against regular armoured Iron Man

True, but you never know. What if the gauntlet is like thors hammers, and all he had to do was call it back, and no one could wield it but Thanos. Actually, that woulda been kick ass. All that work and he wakes up, holds his hand out and the thing just flies back into his hand.

Hulk is due for some kind of upgrade. They have to play his stuff out in group movies. Cap would secure the loyalty of the nanos and they'd all betray Stark.

The reality is that Robert Downey Jr is a much more entertaining actor than Chris...what's his last name? As such...the writers will always favor his character in any situation. Probably why RDJ makes the most money out of the bunch...

Evans is the worst of the Chrises but MCU Cap's true power is that he inspires loyalty. Kevin Feige gave him that much.

I'll give you that but we are discussing characters who appeared to die correct? Any of the characters who died could be brought back in one way or another.

Oh, no, I'm talking about characters who absolutely die because the actors aren't coming back. Unlike the comics, the movies have a chance to jolt the audience with meaningful deaths that are lasting. As a fan who doesn't give a shit about the comics any more (because they'll do anything to the characters and then just undo it all later), I've got a real yearning to see these characters treated with a heavy permanence.

As I say this, I realize they're probably going to use the Infinity Gauntlet to reboot the universe with new actors so the characters can go on forever. It's probably how they're going to introduce the X-men and the Fantastic Four as well.
 
I hope all the characters come back so they can be in more crossovers.
 
I’m guessing they are able to bring back all of the characters that turned to ash but it’s going to be at a huge cost. Most of the originals are going to die in the next movie.

Jokes aside, Marvel is going to have a hell of a time trying to retain the numbers after the original cast waves goodbye. I really don't care about any of these new guys. Spiderman's ok but he may as well have a stand alone for all I care because I'm not clamoring to see how he's going to interact with Stranger or BP or any of these other new guys.

Once Tony's out...I'm out.

Again though death alone isn't the only weight a story can have and I'd argue that the end of infinity wars isn't really about the characters killed off so much as it is those who remain. What I'd look for in a sequel is that real weight is given to this, showing its impact on them and ultimately how they resolve it.
