You know what Wakanda needed? Armored rhino shit.

Thanos dogs were about to tear everyone apart

Hulk bitching out still annoys me

1 of the few downsides to this movie. If they bring out a newer better Hulk in the next movie though all will be forgiven.

Black widow gets besmirched causing hulk to lose control

Thanos gets punched off the planet

Just came back from my 2nd viewing.
10/10
It's as close to flawless as a movie can get.
The attention to detail given to every character is absolutely brilliant.

*Thanos...Thanos is a GOAT tier villain, and the Russos really brought this CGI character to life. I was really looking at the detail they put in to Thanos. He isn't just lumbering around and throwing haymakers. The way they have him sit, his gestures, facial expressions..they really crafted this character .

*Mantis is fucking adorable. I was just noticing her mannerisms, and they have her do some bug like motions with her hands as she walks around.

*When Thor had to unfreeze the star to get the forge going...they could have did something easy like have Rocket shoot the ice, or just have Thor punch it or something, but they really put thought into that scene and did something more creative.

*People calling The Black Order "cans". Let's remember how these guys ended up losing. The Avengers beat them because they worked as a team. They used strategy and teamwork to win. Black Widow and Okoye were about to get murdered by Proxima before Scarlet Witch came. Cap was almost killed until Vision helped him. Falcon, Cap, and BW won the first battle because they worked as a unit and used the Order's weapons against them.

*I love that there were limits to Thanos power, and that he had to actually close his fist in order to use the stones powers. It made for a much more interesting and plausible battle.

*The one big complaint i had was that Thor's Stormbreaker is overpowered. Some axe made by a troll should not be able to overpower the infinity stones. On my first viewing i thought Thanos was aiming his beam at Thor, but it was at the axe... I would hqve been fine with the former situation because he could have been so confident that he would win that he didn't feel the need to even block the shot, but he was trying to stop the axe with the stones, so made no sense why he couldn’t.

Other than that, i absolutely loved this movie. Will see once more next week for my gf's first viewing

GOAT Quotes from Thanos

"Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. And now, it’s here. Or should I say, I am."

"But I never taught you to lie. That’s why you’re so bad at it. Where is the Soul Stone?"

"The hardest choices require the strongest wills."

Also got to say how great they were at balancing so many stories.
Besides the giant threat to the galaxy main story, they were able to include 2 love stories, and a troubled father/daughter relationship story...and they did it in a way that it didn't feel tacked on or out of place, and only added immensely to the stoey

Was there any reason why Thanos only sent his closest henchmen after the infinity stones on Earth?

Ebony Maw and the big guy after Dr Strange, and Corvus Glaive and the big chick after Vision.

Instead of sending them plus an enormous intergalactic army, like the one they unleashed in the final battle.

Same question for when Thanos went solo to Titan.
He sent an army in Avengers 1 and got wrecked, so he sent his own Avengers to try and wrap it up with targeted strikes. That was another underestimation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, so he then sent 3 members of the Black Order AND an army. Even then, it was up to him to acquire the last 2 stones.

He sent an army in Avengers 1 and got wrecked....
Is that what he refers to when he tells Gamora he denied his destiny once, but couldn't do it a second time not even for her? That line had me scratching my head.

That and the cooties.

i have not seen the panther movie, the last thor movie and dont even remember avengers 2. Can i still see this movie?

The movies introduce the characters and their strengths and weaknesses, as well as background on all the weapons used in Infinity War.
Infinity War assumes you're up to speed and just jumps into the movie head first. You may not appreciate everything that is going on if you haven't followed along, but you'll probably still enjoy it.

I'd say you're robbing yourself by not watching the other Marvel movies first.
You can't have the same understanding and feeling for the characters in this movie without seeing the previous ones.

No, because that attack wouldn't have gotten him the IG or any of the stones (maybe the mind stone from the Ancient One?). That seems to be just one of his attempts to cull a planet of half its population.

His "destiny" was either culling half of Titan's population, which doesn't really ring of a destiny type situation (but like @Dragonlordxxxxx says, its probably what he meant), or something that has yet to be revealed... muahahahaha

Thats another big part. I bet a lot of the jokes, particularly the GotG related jokes would fall flat without seeing GotG 1&2 -- which somebody should want to see anyhow; as stand alone movies they're great.

Read a cool theory that makes perfect sense. When Peter says "I don't feel so good. I don't wanna go", etc, it's because of his spider sense. Everybody else kinda goes "hey, wtf?", he's the only one that knew exactly what was happening, hence his more dramatic reaction.

There's an even darker interpretation; Spiderman has a superhuman metabolism, enhanced bones and muscles, and heals quicker than a normal human. His powers were probably trying to fight off his impending death, which only made it last longer...

That's a neat theory, and hearing that Tom Holland improvised his lines is pretty neat too. I like that it tapped into what I like about his iteration of the character, which focuses on him being a vulnerable little boy, despite being a wizened, diminutive forty year old man. Him panicking in HOMECOMING is one of my favorite parts about that film that's not Donald Glover or Michael Keaton (or Bokeem Woodbine, for that matter). Aunt May...

I love that Cap's always loyal and true, and that T'Challa is noble. They're consistent with that, even in the little touches. Because INFINITY WAR is so well keyed into these character riffs, I think people can walk into it cold and still be immensely entertained by the spectacle as well as the emotion core surrounding Gamora.

As a long time comic fan I never thought I'd see that happen. Just goes to show how badly DC fucked it up.
