It's Star Wars Day, bro. It's like the ceasefire between the British and German soldiers on the front line during Christmas 1914.

We can go back to shitting all over Social Justice Wars tomorrow;)

Without the massive success of Star Wars & other movies that were inspired by Star Wars... the MCU wouldn't have had the ballz or understanding to put out blockbusters like they did... not to mention the cinematic advancements that Lucas Film made behind the camera.

Have some respect bro. Maybe you don't know... I'm not sure. You usually seem to know what's going on but maybe you just never thought about the impact that star wars had on the superhero cinematic universe. On the real... Star Wars is the same genre... though for some reason they aren't usually classified as a "super hero" movie.

Marvel's success has fuck all to do with Star Wars lol

Easy to dismiss your elders after they've layed the ground work for you & layed out the templates for your success.
what template did Star Wars lay out that Marvel followed?

Star Wars is a set of random movies supposedly in the same universe that all look significantly different and dont make any sense when you break them down..... while the MCU is backed by decades of lore they have built it into the machine it is. Its a far different model of franchise, and its nothing like Star Wars.... at all lol

Don't get me wrong... I'm sure Marvel comics also influenced Lucas film regarding story telling n such... but in regard to taking it to cinema... you gotta get real & tip your hat to Lucas Film for that.

I got a lot of love for you... so lets keep this in the realm of "discussion" for sure. Just saying that upfront because I've seen these kinds of disagreements get out of hand & I wouldn't want that to happen between us.

So anywayz... Regarding Cinema.... MCU is like the grandchild of LucasFilm that doesn't respect the fact that Grandpa started the mulit-million (now billion) dollar buisness... & put it into the hands of the MCU.

The MCU is now like that un-appreciative kid that took his grandpa's company & has forgotten that his success would not be possible were it not for the fact that his grandpa started the company to begin with.

Analogy broken down is that Star Wars broke new ground with big cinematic super hero films. Others have dabbled in it, but they didn't do it the way Star Wars did it. That template has been molded through the years to the point where MCU is now using the evolution of those film's influence for their own success.

Just saying that it's real easy to sit back now & ignore the fact that Marvel had been around for 30 years or so before Lucas film & hadn't made that big blockbuster yet... so lets give a little credit to what Lucas Film did.

Sad people don't even appreciate it. Especially on "Star Wars Day." You'd think that at least you would recognize their influence enough to not talk sh*t about them on their official holiday. Hold it off till tomorrow if nothing else. Give them their due respect.

Actually I'm off to "Bike Week" camping out over the weekend. I've had my campsite reserved since last year so this is a big deal & I can't hang & discuss this with you any more cause I gotta split... but think about what I've said here & give me a troll free response. I'm not talking sh*t... I honestly believe that we need to pay at least enough homage to our past influences that we would relax our sh*t talk on their official holiday. I think that's a pretty reasonable request even if you don't agree with everything I've said.

Just saying that it's real easy to sit back now & look at their success & say that marvel would've made their current success happen anyway... but that's not how it happened. Im not calling you names or being a dick dude..... no need to cool things down lol, I dont wanna argue with you either ;)

But to say that Marvel owe anything to Star Wars is just false..... Jedi arent superheroes, and Star Wars isnt a superhero franchise. Its trying to be nowadays with Leia becoming superwoman(randomly) but thats mostly because its trying to piggy back on Marvels success.

sure, maybe Star Wars is an important movie in history.... but Marvel dont owe anything to Star Wars, cinema maybe does. But Marvel done things much differently and have consistently delivered entertaining movies.... star wars hasnt

I was just making sure with the cooling thingz down cause I appreciate your comraderee... & wanted to make sure our disagreements didn't go astray. My twin brother @One MMA Fan & me disagree about stuff all the time... & I just wanted to make sure we stayed in the realm of "discussion."

I'm literally leaving the house after this post... as I checked in before i go out for the weekend.

Wow... we got so many differences of opinion. Really? Leaia becoming superwoman is the first you detected super hero qualities... I don't know what to tell you bro. Luke jumped out of han's criochamber at least 12 foot at the speed of a blur. Vader was throwing sh*t at Luke using nothing but his mind.... & that's all early on stuff. Like first few minutes of the first movie Vader is being psychic.

I grew up in the time era that the original Star Wars was released... & that was considered a super hero movie... no doubt about it. Not even in question. To be honest, I'm not sure why it's not considered one today. If X-men that can float things & read minds & control others n stuff are considered super heroes today... then it's just blantantly obvious that Jedi & Sith are super heroes. They can shoot lighting out of their handz ffs. On the real, I'm beside myself that this is even in dispute.

Star Wars is a Super hero film.

Not only that... it is the original blockbuster superhero film.

Say what you want about how it developed, but have some respect for how it started. That's my point. Even if you don't like where they went with it... you can't deny their influence for being the first big blockbuster super hero movie. MCU owes at least enough debt to it that they would respect it enough to not talk sh*t about it on their holiday.

Why is infinity war a terrific movie? (Spoilers of course).

Marvel owes nothing to star wars. Star wars is sci fi space movie. Really doesn't fit the title of super hero movie. The fact some of them have interesting abilities doesn't make it a super hero movie.
