Drax in fact started as a serious charachter and then later became the hulk of space and was very funny. He then went through his new transformation where he looks like the current mcu drax and yes is serious. But for the longest time he was dumb and funny

Green caped Drax was funny and comedic. That was like 25 years ago when, in the comics, Thanos bitch slapped him and Hulk with a solid backhand.

New Drax as similar looking to the movies was not at all comedic. He was literally made and existed to kill Thanos.

you made me think of a scenario I was asked during some training...

You're in the command of a platoon of soldiers (let's say 40) and you're stuck behind enemy lines. You have two paths you can take to escape and make it back to friendly territory.

The first path is dangerous and there's a 50% chance of everyone dying in the attempt and 50% chance of everyone making it.

The 2nd path is 100% success chance but you have to leave 5 soldiers behind to cover their escape. Those 5 soldiers are guaranteed to die.

Which one would you pick?

Interesting ethic dilemma for a leader. Hmmm?

If you were purely logical then you leave 5 soldiers behind every time. If you run a simulation where you do this 100 times with each scenario you have 500 dying in the 2nd path and 2000 dying in the 1st path. Not much to debate when you realize how much higher the death toll is in the 1st path.

That said as not purely logical beings who tend to value the fight and sacrifice i could see path 2 being chosen more as it would be seen as noble death if you died trying to keep everyone alive and if you succeed... well there is that.

Probably kills everyone but Maw off of Asgard. Maybe Maw could capture her.

Maybe they all survive if they can surprise attack her successfully.
