Why didn't they just kill Thanos when they were going for the gauntlet?

Loki tried to stab him in the throat, Gamora did stab him in the throat (kind of) and Thanos said Nebula got the drop on him and "nearly succeeded" in killing him..so he can be killed right?

Why didn't Iron Man/Spider-Man/Star Lord just stab him in the neck when they had the chance? I haven't seen this addressed yet.

Other than the obvious reason of "because then there would be no movie!"...is there any reason they were concentrating on the Gauntlet and not just killing Thanos?

Yes, because the stones give him the ability to regenerate. That's how he recovered so quickly from Thor's attack among other things. With the gauntlet on he's essentially a god, and will win a battle of attrition every time. They knew removing the gauntlet was the only way they could actually harm him.

Maybe, but at the time he didn't have the time stone or mind stone. Which stone would regenerate him? The soul stone? I've never heard of it doing that. It wouldn't have been the power, reality, or space stones. I thought he survived Thor's attack because he could still snap his fingers which is why he said "should have aimed for the head"

Soul stone gives user full control over all life in the universe at full potential. Some form of healing ability would come from the soul stone. If not, then the reality stone could heal Thanos since it grants the user the ability to fulfill any wishes he desires. he could wish for incredibly fast healing ability and the reality stone would grant it.

IMO as soon as Thanos got the reality stone it was over. It's a wild card and grants too many invariable abilities favoring the user...

You could argue that if they had tried to chop/cut/burn his head off they might have succeeded. But then again they weren't sure whether they could do it since he is super tough. all that fighting and all they managed was to "cut" him slightly and get a drop of blood. also the attempt to kill him might shock him out of his "sleep" and he'd be able to heal himself and then resume fighting.

Wrong.

Your first point I agree with. Fine with you saying it makes sense that way.

But you ALSO SAID it WOULD NOT make sense the other way. If the writers decided to have Quill hold his shit together just long enough for the hero's to accomplish the goal.

I am saying either way could be written to make sense.
I said I dont think the other guy made sense with his reasoning..... that it didnt make sense to just get over grief after one experience. ffs dude try and follow what we are talking about before jumping in with your opinion

Anybody notice in the end, when someone was in the front of the screen and sad, Captain America? I forget ... cause I was too distracted by the background. This stuck out like a sore thumb to me. Some blurry characters in the background looking on and Banner in Hunkbuster .... it was shockingly bad effects. His head poorly sticking out of the robot suit ... if you missed it look again - what the fuck ... it looked soooo bad. An astonishing mistake I was surprised

I love how this movie has brought out some real genius edgelords. Good to know even the beloved films can garner such partisanship.

Yeah it's pretty dire, especially with Ruffalo having to act like his head's hanging like a giant person. He's comically bent over. But that's also a product of filming for 3D with IMAX cameras and digital compositing.

A comic book artist couldn't help but be distracted by the notion Ironman's shoulders looked like foam rubber.

yeah as far as I can remember that was the worst vfx in the movie.... it was painfully bad lol

I liked it. Thanos isn't a cosmic being. The stones aren't in him, they're on the glove. The stones are powerful but It's like having any other source of power, you have to harness it and access it.

Thanos is a cosmic being and very powerful without the stones.

To use a single stone you dont need a glove. They just attach to you and you use your thoughts

So bad lol

I tried to find articles or people talking about this online but couldn't, either less people noticed or Marvel police are deleting them

When Game of Thrones fucked up CGI (I missed that one until pointed out) it was all over the place

They did it better 10 years ago.
