We mostly agree that all the ones dusted are probably coming back. As for the ones who died pre dusted . I think Heimdall and Loki stay dead while Gamora will be brought back and Vision too.

My theory for Vision is that Shuri made copies in her machine furthers showcasing Wakandan tech and she repairs what's left of him. It won't be complete Vision it will be a version struggling to remember what he was and with Scarlett Witch being restored the trigger will be his feelings for her and he gets a color scheme more similar to His comic book look.

Be much cooler if Iron Man just grabbed his ass and said "Just let it happen"

I'm just glad Gamora's not going to stay dead. I got more feels for when she got thrown off the cliff than even Spidey or any of the others cause my immediate though with them was, they'll be back but I thought since Gamora was pre-purge, she was done for for good.

I loved Hiddleston as Loki, but I'm not bothered with his being gone for good. Great character but I feel like we've seen him utilized to the fullest extent in the MCU pretty much. Plus his death has weight since it contributes to Thor's motivation to take out Thanos (as does Heimdall's death).

One more thing I think may happen is due to the rift in space/time that our heroes cause in reversing the damage Thanos inflicted (the same rift that brings us the FF and X-Men), we will see a new Loki - a young teen/ pre-teen Loki (thats assuming they keep the Thor franchise alive and kicking).

Saw it again (fucking awesome movie reaffirmed...) and correct me if I'm wrong but Thor zaps Thanos with lightning and then hurls Stormbreaker at him. Thanos tries to use the stones to halt the weapon, but he can't and he gets badly wounded.

Damn man- seems like Thor With That Look in His Eyes and that Axe in his Hand is a bad matchup for Thanos.

Loki was great in Avengers, but he was pretty much a cliche in everything else, or least developed into a cliche.
And Hiddleston is an annoying person irl. I don't imaging his career will fair to well post-MCU (hopefully he is set for life; I don't want to wish ill on the guy).

I don’t think so. Thanos is as calculating and as evil as anyone can be. He can do anything with the stones. He allowed those mistakes to happen because he wanted to lose. Allowing nebula the opportunity to touch the gauntlet and briefly claim the power proves it.

There simply were too many mistakes that Thanos did even when he possessed all the abilities of the stones. Time stone alone allows him to know his future and he did nothing to prevent it.

@SmilinDesperado

In the comics it's said repeatedly that Thanos isn't thinking straight because he's still struggling to accustom himself to the gems.

Indeed, this film for me really elevated Gamora to arguably the most interesting of all of the Guardians characters so I can definitely see potential in the future.

Loki I can kind of see both ways, this did feel like a natural point to end his story but still I could see potential of him if brought back, perhaps working as a nominally heroic character standing up for Asguard but doing so in a questionable fashion.

Someone brought up what they believe could be important to the next Avengers film and it has to do with the fact that Thanos knows all about Stark and actually respects him. In fact they believe he opted not to kill Stark after he stabbed him. They even went on that Thanos may have visited the earth back in the first Avengers film and that is why they are re-shooting a few parts to film in the changes. The idea is to make Avengers 4 all about Stark and his dreams he has been dealing with after the first Avengers film.

They definitely are playing the ambiguity angle. In that really good scene between Rocket and Thor, Thor doesn't say, "He's been dead before, but this time he's not coming back." It's something more to the effect of, "but I think this time it might be for good." Think and might. lol. They definitely are giving some degree of ambiguity there.

Though the crunching sound when Thanos had Loki in his grasp doesn't bode well...

Gamora is awesome. All The Guardians are. Great dynamic between them. That's why I hope Volume 3 is not their last appearance. I'd like to see at least one more film beyond that with that lineup.

Hell, I thought it was awesome to see both Mantis and Nebula have solid parts in IW as well. Mantis is just so damn likable. When Nebula crashes her ship into Thanos (wouldn't be a movie with the Guardians without someone doing that at least once) and starts fighting him and yells, "Where's Gamora?" that was a legit part. This movie actually increased my appreciation of Guardians 2- which I felt a lot of people didn't give a fair shake, as you could see how the playing up of some of the relationships in that film helped to establish the weight in GOTG scenes in this one.

Take, for instance, the fact that Rocket is clearly less of a douche in this film by virtue of his wakeup call from Yondu in the second Guardians film. So when he's trying to comfort Thor, it is credible. Or the closeness of the bond between Nebula and Gamora and both empathizing with one another and understanding how their lives were made miserable by Thanos.

Quality stuff.

In another possibility is "The One" returns to restore the damage that Thanos did to the universe. He was brought in by Stark and this is the big secret what Stark does to himself to get the one to restore the universe. Crazy idea but thought I would throw that out there for people to think about in the next film.

I suspect if Loki comes back it will be via some kind of revivial rather than his death being fake.

I'm guessing Loki comes back. The way he went out was so stupid for someone of his intelligence.

I have to say that after three movies I still have no idea what Drax's powers are. Or Gamora's, but I'm not that confused about Gamora because her comic book powers are pretty low key. Drax is supposed to be a power house, but he's never had a Hulk moment, he just keeps getting his ass kicked

I wonder what they'll do with Loki since we know they're somehow returning to the battle in New York from the first Avengers. He had two of the stones at that time. Maybe they will try and convince him of what happens with Thanos in the future?

Maybe if they use that B.A.R.F technology we saw Stark use in Civil War.. Thor can show Loki everything that's happened since.

Does Thor even know that Loki was directly responsible for his mother dying? I don't think so..

This is why I can’t watch talk shows. Most celebrities will disappoint. Comedians seem to be the exception.

That sounds dope.

Trying not to overstate this one because I just left the theatre

but holy fuck was it good.

I haven’t read the comics and I don’t recall IW covering this, when did Thanos know having all 6 Infinity Stones would give him the power to end half of life in the universe? Because it would be a crazy coincidence if he didn’t know until after he was already on his campaign killing off half of planet’s populations then all of a sudden there is a power out there that let’s him do that very thing with a snap of the finger.
Not sure when it happened exactly but that was definitely the sequence.

I got the impression he didn't especially like the manual genociding method and wanted to stones to keep things clean.

Credit to Josh Brolin for sneaking those emotions in there.
