I think you're under selling the Gauntlet. Stormbreaker appears to be mega powerful but it's still not the IG, the most powerful weapon shown in the MCU.
If Thanos wasn't sure he could take the blow and still accomplish his goal, why not use the space stone and send him to Hala or a Skrull planet or somewhere?
I think of the gauntlet not as a weapon, but as an omni-tool of sorts, while Stormbreaker's sole purpose is killing. I think it may be more powerful in that exact task.

This. The same explanation is used in DC comics when discussing who is faster: the Flash or Superman. Both possess superhuman speed, but that is Barry's only major superpower, while Supes also possess vast superhuman strength, flight, durability, heat vision etc etc.

In terms of Superpowers, the Flash is a scalpel; he's designed to do one thing exceptionally well. Superman is more like a Swiss Army knife. He possess a far more varied power set than the Flash, but in terms of raw speed, Barry will always beat him.

Also, they need to bring Red Skull back to earth. So he can Make Hydra Great Again:D

Red Skull is gone, i liked how they included him like a ghost chained to the soul stone's place, but the story has advanced too much for them to bring him back, Hydra got destroyed already

Cut off one head...;)

Hydra actually made a sort of comeback already: they played a major role in the last Agents of Shield season.

I feel bad the actor is getting shafted in these movies. Very few of these characters are actually interesting on their own, so it's not like the character of Hawkeye is any less interesting than Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, etc.

His character has as much potential as any of them. I'd like to see them use him instead of bringing in new characters.

I haven't seen it mentioned here but I am sure it must have been.

The actor Jeremy Renner broke both his arms very early on during the concurrent filming of the comedy movie TAG.

Generally a big studio would not allow a star to film a second movie at the same time due to risk but the thought was that a comedy made about TAG would not likely provide many perils and since Renner is not a front line star they allowed it.

This is the rumoured reason for why AIW cut him out basically as he had no real use of his arms.

I am guessing it cost Renner a pretty significant payday.

What a bad break!

I don't see how that can be true. I wouldn't think a movie with as huge as production as AIW would be able to remove a character in the middle of shooting, even if they wanted to.

Depends on how early and how many scene reshoots were needed to remove him. its possible very few of his scenes were shot already.
Apparently he broke his arms at the very start of TAG and they were filming concurrently.

I am extremely skeptical, tbh.

It doesn't seem possible for two reasons:

1. You would need to rewrite the script; redo the production breakdowns of the script; fire all of Renner's assistants / wardrobe / make-up / acting coaches / stunt doubles / other personnel and redo all the production logistics of no longer paying them, transporting them to and from sets, etc.; potentially reschedule shooting days or book re-shooting days. These can turn into protracted problems.

2. Not have Renner sue your fucking ass off for breach of contract.

Both of these are crazy to do in the middle of filming, especially when the second point would result in a protracted legal disagreement.

They deal with these things all the time. In one of the MCU movies they basically shot Scarlet Johanson from the waist-up because she was pregrant and couldn't do ANYTHING on camera because you'd see her belly.

IMO, it would be easier to use him with two broken arms (especially since he's not a lead) than to remove him. And I think that the biggest reason this probably isn't true is because we'd have heard about it by now, covered as legitimate news.

1. You've got a lot of big assumptions in there for a character that was likely to not have A ton of screen time to begin with. Other characters have been removed from in progress movies before.

2. Again big assumption. I'm pretty sure his Marvel shoot took precedence over TAG and he would have had to seek and get a waiver to be allowed to shoot it concurrently and in that waiver you can bet Marvel would indemnify themselves against any problems that TAG might cause.

You might be right. We'll have to disagree.

Thanos wearing armour and carrying some kind of weapon; is this because the Gauntlet no longer functions at full power?

Ms Marvel simply isn't Ms Marvel without the sash.

If I had to guess, it's because the gauntlet was a little frazzled after the snap. And against Hawkeye, he's going to need all the help he can get.
