My theatre was packed, jokes fell flat, Tony with his inverse Möbius strip, no one laughed

I would give IW a 9, this was a 6 for me. Maybe I read too much in here and expected too much.
Honestly the only the line that grabbed me because I think he’s a great actor, was when Tony told his daughter, in his goodbye message, that he loves her 3000.
Maybe I’m too harsh, loved IW. This not so much. Hard to live up to IW though.

I think this drops off huge after a week or so. Will have a huge opening weekend or so, but rewatchability, not so much. I bought 2 wknds of tics, I don’t even want to see this again unless someone buys me -a dozen beers. This movie is a sprinter, not a marathoner.
If I’m wrong then fine, but IW was way better, CW was better,

I apologize if this has been answered already. But since Loki got away with the space stone, are there now 2 different realities? One where he goes to asgard and one where he doesnt?
There's only one Loki in the main timeline and he escaped and didn't go to Asgard as Thor's prisoner. This is another fucked up continuity error since it changes the events going forward. Unless in the future they'll show Loki going back to that point in time and let events proceed as it was intended.

Going back to 1970 corrected that.

I always thought the chances of them bringing back Gamorra in some way were 100%. Great character and a new love interest for Quill (you know the main character always has to have one) would feel too forced.

I don't know how to feel about the way they went about it since her character arc from the previous films is effectively erased, but I'm glad it happened.

Based on the popularity of both characters, it would seem to me the Russos purposely left this ambiguous enough to bring them back.

Currently the Loki argument is whether Cap is able to restore the Tesseract somewhen after it was taken by the Time-Heisters and before Tony dropped it into Loki's clutches. I could see them contriving that Loki is in a divergent timeline but could invade the "main" timeline since he does have the space stone (even though some people here have posited that the stones only work in the dimension in which they belong).

However, I have to imagine Gamorra would be conspicuously rooted to the "main" timeline. The original speculation was that Adam Warlock would somehow bring her back, and now it's up for debate whether 2014 Gamorra survived the Starkening -- but @Magooglie has a more compelling idea upthread.

Really, I'm kind of done with Loki in his current form. I'd be okay with Loki acting like a Mephisto and going full heel, tho.

Yeah, after that first kill I and the time travel stuff I was hoping for another badass killing of Thanos. Instead he we got stuck with "The Thinker Statue" Thanos kill.
I really thought after seeing the awesome image of a Giant-Man haymaker on one of the flying trilobytes, we'd see an epic punchfest with Hulk and Thanos. What I got instead was not less that four women surrounding me chanting, "YASSS, QUEENS!" and "THIS WHAT I'M TALKING BOUT I TOLD Y'ALL FUCK IT UP." Thanos lost, Hulk lost -- we lost.

If I’m wrong then fine, but IW was way better
Yes.

CW was better
No.

Things i like? The music! Still liked Cap Marvel! Liked Tony and his relationship with his daughter.
His scenes with his father were touching. As someone who has lost their father, that would be mind blowing to meet your pops before he gives birth to you.
Rocket, awesome

It does not because Cap returned the Space Stone back in 1970s to restore the timeline. So things that were supposed to happen still happened and we would still end up with Loki and the Invasion in 2012.

Gotta go. Will read all the previous posts and replies later.

I agree. However I think this movie will have legs due to Hype and the fact that it's Iron Man's goodbye but IW is a clear notch above it. Hell Thanos feels like a fundamentally different character in some scenes .

Oh shit you're right. Guess we'll have to wait for the LOKI tv show to see what's up with that.

@PRIDEWASBETTER @KnightTemplar
Dibs on AV gif of Cap summoning Mjolnir when he says "Avengers Assemble." :p
Edit: I might go for the AV gif of Cap summoning Mjolnir for the first time.

The tricky part is when is the right time to make that AV since it's a spoiler. 4-5 months?

I hate time travel because they always don't get it right. No more going forward for the MCU pleeeease.

DCEU on the other hand can go full time travel though to fix/reboot their universe lol.

Oh. I thought we're talking about the Loki taking the Tesseract moment inside Stark Tower.

This movie was good. But not great.

The hulk and thor were my favorite parts of the movie. Captain marvel my least favorite. Did massive eye rolls when they showed her haircut and when they did woman power bit at the end. I'm happy Thanos dismissed her with the power stone.

Also can someone explain how dr strange came back?

Notes from the Theater I was at .

Some guy actually laughed out loud during the Dusting of Hawkeyes family immediately the whole theater told him to shut the fuck up and he was quiet for the rest of the Movie.

When Captain Marvel appears in front of Iron Man, silence the theater I was in was indifferent .

Iron Man and Cap got the biggest reactions.

What? Jokes fell flat?

You mean when Cap said Hail Hydra in the elevator that didn’t get you? Guess you’re not a comic book fan but this was a very sweet send off for us who know the inside jokes of the comic books.

My theater was animated. Lots of laughs and quiet as shit with some sniffling when people died.
