She fucks off because she's afraid she'll lose control of her alter ego and destroy a city?

She just killed her dad, watched her sister die, time travelled to the future, and met her future lover. I think some time alone to process that is justified lmao

Am I the only one who thinks 2014 Gamora is still alive? There's no way the Russo brothers would have just forgotten to film her death scene otherwise.

She'll probably be in GOTG v3

STEVE GOT HIS DANCE, MOTHERFUCKERS.

Sorry, I had to get that out. Old man Steve was well done and, of course, I cried.

It’s insane how incredible the MCU Cap turned out.

His movies are super important, and the best trilogy of the MCU. Who would’ve thought that when they first released captain America 1 (very underrated imo) back in 2011? Then Winter Soldier dropped and it was all over.

The Russos saved his and the Black Widow character.

Someone mentioned the gay russo during the support group scene. I thought he was talking about losing his brother in the movie's universe.

Man. I mostly heard everything throughout. But i dont know if the theaters sound was lower than usual. Because there were some low volume parts that i couldnt quite hear/understand.

He was talking about a date he had

I liked his first movie and he was great in Avengers 1 but they really took him to a new level with Winter Soldier. Then Civil War. The fans really love him, he’s one of the most popular and he gets great crowd reactions on opening nights in a packed theater. He’s compeltely badass but has nothing but compassion for everyone.

Him and black widow are great together. Two people who never really felt like they fit in, for various reasons of course. Widows character grows on you and she’s like the mom of the team in some sense.

Plus a lot of it falls on Evans, who nails the character and has acting chops as well. Unlike Star Lord (Pratt) who nails the character, is a fan favorite but has more limited acting skills. Evans kills this role, I can watch captain America movies for the next 10 years if the Russo’s directed them.

That last hour was absolutely incredible. The highs of this movie were great. But that fight scene with everyone giving it all they had was really something special. Really felt like a comic book brought to life seeing everyone together. In hindsight, I’d give this an 8/10 over my original 7.

As an adult, i've legit cried in a movie twice (that I can remember) and they were both during this.

A lot of scenes too. Even when the big 3 (cap Tony thor) are back together to fight Thanos one last time gets the feels going. You’re rooting for them because you know them for a decade. You’re invested and know it’s most likely the last time you’ll ever see it on screen.

The look on thanos when he thought he was about to murk captain america, and he sees the whole army come through the portals.

*record scratches

This is when i knew fucked up.

99% sure that the Gamora that died for the Soul Stone is still dead. They pointed out in the start of the movie that changing something in the past doesnt change the present/future because it has already happened. Meaning Gamora died and is still dead. If changing the past changed the present/future everyone would be back as soon as they retrieved the gems from the past (since that would keep Thanos from ever getting them in the first place).

The reason Gamora wasnt in the ship is like someone else wrote: even though she always both hated and deep down loved Thanos she just watched her "father" die and everything she had ever known get turned upside down. At that point she had no relationship with any of the Guardians, not even Nebula because as she said "I tried to kill you a bunch of times, then we became sisters" (which has not yet happened to the "past" Gamorra). So she most likely took a ship and bailed to find her own path going forward.

For those who didnt "see any wokeness", these are some examples of the top of my head:
- One of the first scenes is a guy (one of the Russos) talking about going on a date with another guy even though he could be talking about A MILLION different scenarios that has affected him after the snap happened. They HAD TO drive home that he was gay to tick off the "gay box".
- They turn masculine, sex symbol Thor into a "fat, angry, white, male gamer" type who is useless and just runs around crying.
- They call both Ant-Man and Star-Lord idiots for no reason really.
- They turn masculine, wrecking machine Hulk into a goofy beta nerd.
- You have them make the "female avengers" lineup that stuck out like a sore thumb and was just dumb in and of itself. As far as I know a battlefield isnt segregated by gender.
- Thanos trashes the original 3 superheroes (one being a god), yet Captain Marvel is unfazed when he headbutts her and is almost breaking his hand apart. She also comes in and saves the day like a good Mary Sue in the end of the movie. Its not just bad storytelling, its completely unnecessary. All the things she did in the end of the movie should have been done by Scarlet Witch who actually had a personal grudge against Thanos and is tearing him apart to the point that he forces his ship to open fire on his own troops to get away. They could just have made Scarlet Witch hulk out like in Age of Ultron and use a giant blast to disable the weapons on the ship. Then you'd still have a female superhero do the things and it would actually fit in with the story.
- They basically went all "masculinity bad, women good".

And I would like to go on say that Nebula and Black Widow (as well as Wandas scene with Thanos) + RDJ were the best parts of the movie so I am not a "woman hating incel". I think its awesome when female roles are well made and fit with the story because good characters are good characters, regardless of gender. When you have a Mary Sue like Captain Marvel just to score some easy woke points, thats what I have a problem with (or bashing men to make women seem better).

I didn't particularly like that they went with the time travel / multiple dimensions route but overall I enjoyed the film, had more emotional and comedic moments than infinity war, on par with the action, but infinity war had a certain pacing and energy that was superior. I would have preferred a different direction but they pulled it off imo.

When Tony basically gave him all kinds of shit in the beginning and Steve just took it...that was some prime Cap to me.

If anyone deserved a Happy ending it was MCU Cap even if I highly differ from Evans political views he did a great job as Steve Rogers.
