It’s possible but we shouldn’t be diving for quotes just to look for answer. There could had been a line or two explaining it in the story. All well good movie nevertheless.

My other beef is the unnecessary sacrifice of Black Widow. I know the future Avengers wanted to bring everyone back, but if they did succeed in just obtaining every stones except the soul, then past Thanos would not have acquire the means to kill the entire universe. Then by all accounts the future would have been altered and half of the universe would not have been killed.

I don't think that's how it works or how it was explained. I'll have to really think on it.

The infinity stones work on an "Aladdin's wish" sort of exchange -- while it'll do pretty much what you intend there are firm rules dictating that some things simply can't be undone because they were the "necessary cost" of enacting your wishes.

This wouldn't be difficult to accept, except there is ANOTHER set of rules that governs quantum time-travel that we also have to mentally juggle.

I do appreciate the line or two of exposition, but we cannot discount the fact that she is there as evidence she survived. Sometimes I can go with it the lack of explanation when shit's in plain sight, but yeah other times it niggles.

I kinda wanted to see what they would have done with a Black Widow movie, but I guess Scarlett Jo was asking too much money. Uppn further reflection, I really think Endgame should of had another 15-20 minutes. The time maxhine building felt kind of rushed.

She's still getting her movie.

Not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread about Cap and Thor's hammer, but a Reddit user awhile back mentioned the reason why Cap wasn't able to lift Thor's hammer in AoU was because he held that dark secret about Tony's parents death. It some how made him unworthy because he hid it from Tony.

After admitting he knew in Civil War, Cap became holy again and was able to lift Thor's hammer. Thor stated " I knew it" was huge too. Worthy but not there kinda vibe. I hope the next Thor or Avengers movie, they confirm all this for the viewers otherwise it would be a wasted subplot not to explore.

I think the Ancient One was explaining something to that effect to Bruce, but I have to watch that scene again just to be sure. She really didn't want to give up the Time Stone because the risk of alternating the future was too costly.

Metal suit, billionare, tech for any battle - dies.
God of mischief, asgardian/frost giant - dies
Super android being created by the mind stone - dies.

Bow and Arrow - survives

The Russos said when Cap tried the hammer in the AoU scene, he quickly realized he could move it so he quickly put on an act, pretending he couldn't as not to undermine Thor.

Question for you septic tanks (particularly New Yorkers, I guess) - is Benny C's accent as Dr. Strange any good?

It's decent. He hangs too long on the Rs like most British actors. The enunciation is a mite too precise, even by dialogue standards.

"Been"/bean seems to be another vestigial sticky wicket for most. Even Tom Hardy's impeccable US accents suffer "bean."

Origin story.

Either that or some strange butterfly effect of Rogers time traveling...

Me too. I don't know anybody that really, really liked it.

It does demonstrate though that you don't automatically need that to make a lot of money, people don't have to love it just be interested enough to bother watching it.

I think Endame is not going to beat TFA in the domestic market, TFA has already cut 60m from the original 100m advantage endgame had comparing their respective opening weekends.

It would be a tough ask but hard to say IMHO, TFA did come out in the Christnmas holidays, that maybe reduces opening weekend taking a bit but also frontlads its takings generally during the fist 2 weeks when a lot of people are on holiday during the week.

Now I finally know what "Endgame" is, was reading the word for weeks and thought it was another TV series or something. Didnt expect another Marvel bullshit movie, they produce like 4 a year lol didn't make it through a single one of them I'm kinda surprised grown men are attracted by this stuff
