Atheist Minister Fighting Against Church to Keep Position

Clergy losing their faith and becoming atheists are nothing new. Many continue preaching and keep their atheism secret. The reason is that not only would revealing their atheism cost them their livelihood, there is also a great social pressure as more or less everyone they know and everyone in their community, usually including their family, would condemn and ostracise them.
There is even a support organization for it. The clergy project

Having said that, for a minister to come "out of the closet" as an atheist (if that is what she has actually done) and continue to preach, is more than a little weird.
However, it is up to her flock of sheep to decide if they are ok with it.

It's up to the organization that ordained her not her or even her congregation.

If the congregation owns the building and pays her then they can keep right on going even if they defrock her.

If the organization pays her then she is fired and get no more money. If the organization owns the building then they can replace her.

That said I seen no reason to keep her when she doesn't meet the requirements of her job.

I'm just glad to see some christian jimmies rustled because of an atheist infiltration.

It's silly, but still, if I was a christian I'd be kind of weirded out.

Same if I went to a restaurant and found out that the chef cooking my steak was a vegan.

Give it a shot. That last one was great.

I think this thread was made for you to shine.

Lol, I can't always give you what you want. Then you'll take me for granted.

Honestly, that original statement was a serious comment. I'm surprised only glen agrees with me.

She should do granny porn, now that she's out of her day jerb.

Christian Atheists and non-deistic Christianity is a growing phenomenon, even among the clergy of many western European churches, where many of the most irreligious countries have majority memberships in the church, practice Christian traditions and rituals such as weddings, christenings and funerals while at the same time having high rates of atheism and agnosticism.

For example, in the Netherlands, fully half of the population are non-theists and 1 in 6 clergy profess non-theistic beliefs. Furthermore, the non-belief in an interventionalist God is not seen as incompatible with the core beliefs of Christianity as taught by Jesus or with tending to the spiritual well being of the congregation. This school of Christian thought has a long history and a tradition with roots dating nearly back to the time of Christ himself.

The only reason that orthodox churches would have all Christians adhere to one set of beliefs is because Paul of Tarsus, whose conversion came well after the death of Christ said so. There is a reason that the Nicene Creed (the Apostle's Creed) is recited along with the Lord's Prayer - it is a singular doctrine that dogmatizes the orthodoxy against alternative interpretations in order to stamp them out.

It's interesting to note that Thomas Jefferson called Paul of Tarsus

Chances are very high that this female minister is a lesbian.

What do you think the chances are she is in fact a post op mtf transsexual who wants to lure hard working, faithful Christian men into the unknowing gay?

I think it's as certain as Jesus returning to Earth within Rip's lifetime.

"Chances are very high that this female minister is a lesbian."
- there is nothing in the bible against lesbianism. Not saying you are saying that, but just pointing it out.
