After thinking about it and reading some of the comments here, I am starting to see why this is happening, and honestly, it might be for the best. The bottom line is that in three of his last four fights, Arman has done something that was grounds for release—two of those incidents could be classified as assault (one against a spectator, one headbutt against a fighter), and one incident affected an unknown but massive number of people. He pulled out of the Islam match in LA during the peak of the fire destruction, with the largest population of Armenians outside of Armenia treating it like the Super Bowl and even sleeping at the stadium to pre party the night before. The fire was still spreading, and I’m sure getting the fight approved was not easy—I remember people discussing it online. Then, less than 12 hours before it started, he pulled out. Lol.

Look, props to him for being so good that he can mess with the casinos, the UFC, the fans, and an entire city and still not get fired. It’s hilarious, and it sucks that Ilia gets his third layup—but maybe it’s for the best. I still think Arman can beat them all. Ilia and Islam would be close, and Islam might be is better and smarter, heavier/healthier—but Ilia’s wide stance would be a massive issue . I think Khabib is right: Ilia might have a tough night against Arman.

TLDR: It will probably be a decent card

It really was as simple as

-No male champion being ready to defend
-WMMA not being headline worthy
-The desire to have a JUST BLEED main event for the first one on Paramount
-Getting one (or a couple more) fight out of Justin before he retires

It could be worse, but I get it. 325's main is weirder, not idea how Lopes got it over Murphy. Evloev too, but I can at least get the need for the first few events being exciting to go with Lopes over him.

The card looks very good, except for the main event. Neither fighter is deserving, Paddy egregiously so, and Paddy might be the fighter most likely to drag a boring fight out of Gaethje. People are fond of saying that styles make fights, but all too often the downside of that is forgotten. Paddy has terrible takedowns and Gaethje is safe so long as the fight doesn't go to the ground. Gaethje is also on the cusp of retirement, facing his last chance at a title. If it's possible to turn Gaethje into a cautious point fighter, that's the recipe for doing it.

Think everyone agrees Arman should be fighting for the belt or atleast interim title but with that said Justin/Paddy is a fun fight, will be exciting and the card overall is very good.

Sucks Topuria is taking time cause obviously the plan was Topouria/Paddy and Kayla/Nunes which is what everyone figured and that would be have been perfect.

Paddy Pimblett struggled in Cage Warriors, got cut I assume, and is now thriving on the regionals.

Good for him.

7-0 in the "UFC" whatever that is.

Hope he wins the belt and gets the chance to rematch Soren Bak in Cage Warriors.

i dont really give a shit. i just love watching people throw down. as any real fight fan should. who gives a fuck who is fighting, yah fucking whinny ass cry babies.

What's the story here? I missed all of this.

In regards to the card, I'm damn excited for Kayla vs Nunes, have no idea who Silva and Allen are, and as for O'Malley and Gaethje...

Cry more kid.

Great card, and 2 top 10 LWs fighting for an INTEREM belt.

Yeah the Paddy vs Gaethje interim fight is dumb when it should be Arman but who cares when the fight is still going to be good and the rest of the card is a banger? The fact you are almost letting dumb fight politics get in the way of you enjoying what is looking to be a great card astounds me.

No idea? Murphy's best win is a 48-47 over Emmett, or a comeback KO over an unranked Pico. His splitty over Ige was kind of fun, I guess?

Evloev definitely deserves it over Lopes and Murphy but he's pulled out of at least 5 fights in the UFC, not at all trustworthy for a main event slot.
