Aspinall would beat everyone on the planet

Did you watch the fight? Dudes pretty sloppy. I despise Jones as a person, but Jones would work his ass and bully him easily
He did look kinda sloppy to me, got hit a few times, but still dangerous enough for Jon.
Jon’s not fighting Tom, forget about that fight.

That fight will shut all of you up. It will look like Bones is fighting a child. Watch.

Like his last three fights at LHW going to decisions against Reyes, Santos and Anthony Smith?

I want to see Tom vs Almeida. I need to see how he handles a good grappler.
Aspinall has a TDD of 100% and is significantly bigger than Jailton. This fight would probably remain standing or look like Jailton vs. Blaydes, in both scenarios Aspinall would outstrike him.

Tom looked pretty hittable in this fight and Blaydes was landing. All Francis needs is one shot and it's good night. Plus he has a much better chin than blaydes. Francis has only been KO'ed once in his career. Brutally getting KO'ed once is not going to crumble your chin. It's getting KO'ed multiple times is when it starts to become glass.
Prime Francis is the worst match up for Aspinall as you said. Aspinall couldn't risk being so aggressive with his hands as any exchange with Francis usually results in brutal KO.

Aspinall would need to wrestle to win I think.

The version of Francis that won the belt from Stipe would be a very tough ask, he didn't look like a fighter that would be easy to take down and hold down that night.

What does Francis TDD look like in 2024 though? We have no idea.

Poatan would KO him. Aspinall is too reckless, reminds me of jiri, poatan would connect and KO him

In an interview about the fight Tom said he would immediately rugby tackle him, he's not stupid

The problem is when people say Aspinall is hittable in the boxing exchanges, they're right.

But when has Jon Jones ever landed a devastating knockout punch in a boxing exchange?

The one vulnerability it looks like Aspinall has, Jones has never actually demonstrated the skillset to take advantage of.

Aspinall is always going to have the speed advantage so he'll be the first to land the big shot in these exchanges most of the time. But wouldn't surprise me to see him get clipped eventually, but I'm really not sure Jones is the one to do it.

Jones will have to keep the fight at kicking range or wrestle his way to a win, or a combo of both. Which he may do. But there's nothing about Aspinall's "sloppiness" that makes him look vulnerable to kicking or wrestling, no one has ever made him look vulnerable on that front.

I agree I dont see anyone beating francis in heavyweight mma.

One thing we know about jon is his ability to study the he'll out of his opponent.

Yeah.. Tom was looking pretty hittable. I'm still wanting to see Gane fight Tom. However, I don't think he beats Gane on the feet after tonight. Tom does have noticeable holes in his striking defense Curt briefly exposed.
I wouldnt say he look hittable, Curtis had longer reach than Tom anticipated and his jab connected once, when Curtis threw another jab moments later Aspinall ducked inside and put him down.

He does have defensive holes but I think he is confident enough to take couple jabs to get opponents timing etc.

Big fan of Aspinall but there are probably some guys in the 300 - 400 pound range that would beat him.

Yeah, and Blaydes isn't a chump. I think he has (or maybe HAD as his chin is deteriorating) the skills, size and tools to be elite, maybe a HW champ at some point. But his Fight IQ and poor reaction to being hurt/stunned has cost him too many important fights.

Are people honestly suggesting because an opponent landed a strike or 2 and Tom wasn’t completely flawless and perfection against a guy who has been in the top 5 for years that he is somehow deeply flawed?

You do remember opponents landed on prime Jones, Fedor and GSP?

It’s a fight. Of course the opponent might also land some strikes. But overall Tom absolutely dominated Blaydes
