Anyone else ever have trouble getting the haircut you really want. I always want the sort of high, tight fade that Diego Sanchez has when he wears his hair real short, but I can never, ever get someone to cut it that way. Just never looks the same.

Do you guys ever have this frustration? If not, how do you avoid it?

I just don't really give a shit how my hair looks so I'm never disappointed. Pretty much have a mad case of snatch head all the time.

Go to a barbershop. Bring a picture.

My barber always cuts the top part of my hair too short even though I always ask to barely trim it but he gives an awesome haircut so I always go back

you have to go to an urban area more than likely

that's why i started doing it myself

bzzzzzz all around

happened all the time. that's why i don't even bother anymore, i just cut it myself. it looks like sh't, but at least i don't have to pay anyone for it.

Is bringing a picture sort of girly, though?

Well do you want it done right or no? It baffles me that you would go through all that frustration because you think bringing a picture is girly. You would think that would be the first thing someone does. Yeah, it's his job, but he can't magically read your mind and know how you want your hair to look based off your description. "Uhh..i want my hair to look like Diego Sanchez."

Just snap a picture on your phone and make life easier for both you and your barber.

If you're cutting your hair from long to short I'd get this military style cut. Currently sporting it now and its pretty sweet. Zac Efron used it in his movie The Lucky One. Looks good if you have a longer face/head shape.

If you're worried about looking girly don't say you want a Zac Efron haircut or carry around a picture of him.

If you want a high fade go to a black barbershop... Having said that I sported a high fade for a while & never went to one. You can always check yelp for recommendations. Also, as a rule of thumb, your barber should be older than you are.

Hope that helps.

Cut it yourself, that's what I do. I sport the high and tight fade on the side with an 8 guard on top. It doesn't take long to learn, the only tricky part is doing the back. If you want a straight line you are better off getting a little help. I fade mine down to a 1 guard to alliviate that problem.

Haha tell me about it. I made a major miscommunication error the last time I went to the hairdressers and ended up bald. Looked like shit but i have to say that it felt wonderful!

This is pretty much where my hairs at now aswell.

Use your phone to take the picture.

And if your ego is so fragile that you don't even have to balls to bring a pic of a haircut you want then haircut is the least of your problem.
