I took a climbing class back in college. The gym has a climbing wall. Turned out I had a little fear of heights, which I didn't discover until the class. Good thing I had to face that newly discovered fear every week. I did get over it, pretty much. Not so much on a real climbing outing, though.
I've heard of free climbing and bouldering, I think lead climbing.
Never heard of freebase climbing, though. Is that when you smoke crack and climb without a rope?
