Failed drug tests are reported to two parties primarily: the commission (NSAC in this instance) and the person failing the test (the fighter). The commission then passes the info down to the UFC. So in theory, Evans-Smith SHOULD'VE been told by the commission.

It just shows further incompetence on the part of the NSAC.

Your employer is the one administering your test. In the case of a sport like MMA, it is an outside athletic commission that is administering the test.

Employers don't administer tests. They send you to a lab to go take tests.
