That's why i hugged on him. To see if he can be like Anderson Silva or Jon Jones. He'sgot the skills. Defend his belt over and over with awesome finishes. Fighting RDA and possiby making history was an awesome idea, but it didn't work out. Now, im not sure what's going on.

I remember at the UFC 196 post fight press conference, a reporter asked Mcgregor what's next. Mcgregor answered "really, i don't care. It's about the fans. I'll wait and see who the fans wants to see me fight. Whoever they want to see me against, i'll fight that man"

Well, as a fan, i say f*ck this fight. Iknow you read Sherdog Conor. Considering how active you are you could easily beat Aldo's record at 145. Make some history there man c'mon

Yeah he needs to put in a few defenses and get some momentum back before he moves up in weight again

If he fights Nate again though that's going to really put an end to his hype, fight doesn't make sense to me.

Until he fights Frankie Edgar at 145, I just don't see him getting the respect he deserves.

he's still won more UFC titles than the majority of the roster.

Sad that KOing Aldo still only means he ducked Edgar in many fan's eyes

Agreed. I'm a big fan and support him moving up to fight RDA but with the Diaz loss, I really want to see him defend vs Frankie and then maybe go up to fight RDA should he still be champ at that time. I also wouldn't mind seeing a rematch with Nate at 155 at some point. Ideally I'd like defend vs Frankie, beat RDA and defend vs Nate for the LW title in a rematch.

I agree, he should fight at 145 for some time, and maybe then move up to 155. 170 doens't seem to agree with Conor.

Conor could really use a win over Frankie tbh, losing to nate who's a 155er doesn't mean anything to the 170 division. Plus nate lost to the 155 champ and has now really taken his own level of fame that UFC can build on.

The real issue is that he may put off 145 too long and may not be able to make a healthy cut back down without some diminished returns.

Then the real issue I fear is him having a championship fight where come weigh-in he doesn't make the limit and they move it to a non-title contest and he keeps his belt win or lose.

There's a lot to consider if you're looking to talk seriously about all this, I feel the UFC should simplify the whole thing and have him defend his title sooner rather than later.

at this point if he moves up to 155 it should not be for an immediate title shot. he has already showed he needs to work on some things to compete with fighters closer to his size.

Yeah, as a McG fan, this is not what I would choose for his next fight. I wanted the Frankie fight, then the Aldo rematch. If that goes to plan, move up again. I understand the hope to make the first fight look like a fluke, but it wasn't. This is probably a bad idea.

Yeah that's fair enough.

I truly don't believe this rematch between Diaz/McGregor moves past the talk & rumor stage. I have not read from hater to hugger to casual fan stoked or excited about this potential rematch. What I have seen or read is people wanting to see the new FW champ defend his belt. The UFC as fight promotion must do the right thing and restore legitimacy to it's FW division and the prestige of what it is to be a division Champion in the UFC. The UFC needz to get back to being a fight promotion and not Conor's personal sports management team.

I think going up and down in weight can't be healthy, so he decides to give 170 a last shot.

I don't know for sure, but i believe he's beefing up for 170. If he's successfull against Nate, i don't think he will ever go down to 145 again. He will fight RDA and stay at LW.

If he loses again, he will give up on 170 and force his body down to 145.

Conor shouldn't even be fighting at 145. He has to kill himself to get there.

His hormones and overall health are going to get super fucked up if he keeps doing thismcgregor.jpg
