Oh so you've been a fan since day one huh? Cool, I watch the old fights on Fight Pass but I'm sure it's not the same as seeing them live as they happen. Did you watch Pride and Strikeforce back in the day too?

I have feeling some fighters are secretly gay, or at the very least bi. Brendan Schaub comes to mind first. Israel Adesanya gives me that vibe as well.

Strikeforce definitely. I never missed a show but back during its period of operation Pride was a bitch to follow because sometimes the PPVs would be live, sometimes they'd be tape-delayed & sometimes they weren't shown in the US at all. But I followed it as closely as I could under the circumstances.
 
Can’t speak for everyone or for gay men but my interest in MMA stems from boxing. There are only a few prize fights per year in boxing and MMA has always been a nice substitute. Also got hooked on PRIDE because Phil Baroni has a massive wang.

Awesome, it's fun to watch old Strikeforce fights because of how many former Strikeforce fighters went on to have success in the UFC. And correct me if I'm wrong but Strikeforce was the first major MMA promotion to feature WMMA right?
Pride fights are fun to watch too, although half of the fights were freak show fights. Pride wasn't perfect, but they sure knew how to put on a show I'll give them that.

Because they could just watch gay porn instead. If this were the 90s, and porn wasn’t always at your fingertips, then there probably would be more gay guys watching MMA.

And if you’ve stuck around sherdog for any length of time, then you know that many posters here are closeted homosexuals, or at least closeted bicurious.

LOL. My gaydar is notoriously bad. My daughter ( who's gay ) never ceases to tease me about how bad mine is which is odd because her's is so damn good. She's like an LGBTQ bloodhound for Pete's sake. She knew her professor at school was gay within about five minutes while I'd have been totally clueless about it.

Ok. So what’s your point?

My point is this. If gay guys liked watching MMA strictly because of it being sweaty men rolling around on each other, then they are watching it for sexual gratification. But porn is so readily available that there is no need for them to do so.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of gay fans who like watching for the same reason all of us straight guys do.

why would someone watch mma just because they are gay? Thats stupid. Why would they invest time becoming a "fan" of softcore shit when they could just pull up a web browser and actually watch a jacked sweaty man deeply penetrate another jacked beefy good looking man's behind?
