That's understandable. He's in his 40s now so he should stay active in the meantime. I think he'll eventually get the trilogy but Bivol will probably make him wait a while. There's nothing he can do about it.
what he needs to do about it is forget the trilogy and just retire.

or, if he must, beat up a few other guys and then retire. but i'd advise against it, he's bound to look like shit any day now.

Unless he is committed to making a last big payday against Bivol, waiting around for the trilogy match isn't to his advantage, at this point its Bivol waiting him out like he did most of his career to have Father Time do his work for him.
That aside, I really like this card. Solid match upseven if there would seem to be a clear favorite in most of them.

You're probably right but I'm sure he wants to see it through.

so now Benavidez and Beterbiev are gonna be on the same card not fighting each other? what the hell?
this continues to reflect worse and worse on team Bivol. the Beterbiev/Benavidez fight couldve been made if Bivol had declared he didnt want a trilogy. Benavidez/Yarde is still a great fight but now Biev's fighting some nobody.
this is ridiculous. oh well, at least i get to see Beterbiev fight again.

i dont think Bivol needs to fight him again, thought it was a bit odd, and im glad the third fight isnt happening TBH

i am 99.9% sure Bivol would have gotten a fair shake in Russia with the judges, because Biev clearly cant stop him, cant even begin to imagine why the fight isnt happening.....

So apparently Bivol has had surgery. Which explains his long absence.
I just found this out yesterday. Not sure if Bivol's team put out a statement before, but if they didnt they shouldve a while ago before all the negotiations started
