Always considered him the darkhorse title challenger..

Rarely fights though..

Thoughts?!

I think featherweights are much better than lightweights and he'll be a contender if he can stay active.

Might as well be the best version of yourself even if its means you wont always be the biggest guy.

Arnold has 1 win in the last 3 years, and he has 7 total fights in the last 6 1/2 years (with no fight currently booked).

It's a shame he's so injury prone, but he's pretty much irrelevant at this point.

He moved up because Topper ran from him.

Seems like an ill-advised move on his part.

Why rebuild all over again at 155 when you’re just a couple of wins away from a title shot at FW? The champ is past his prime, and the two most dangerous contenders (Topuria and Holloway) have left the division.

Not a bad idea. I'd pick him against a bunch of ranked LWs.

I guess its fine, but only if he actually fights, which is the biggest problem with Allen. I just don't know why he has such long gaps between fights, a few times he had an injury but there are other times when he wasn't injured and he just sits on the shelf for ages and doesn't fight. He is talented, but its hard to get invested because he is so inactive all the time. LW could be good for him but its not the weightclass thats the problem, its actually fighting.

What he said makes it sound like he can't get a fight. UFC matchmakers failing again or guys ducking him?

I think I remember him thinking about this move openly for a while, and it was more about weight management thing. Could be wrong though.

I've always backed Allen, but this feels like the death knell for my hope in him. It'll be a large backstep from a title, he's 23 fights into his career and in his 30's. I mean, I want to say he could have done this right after Max, but he'd have been in the Islam era, and that would have gone nowhere. Hope I'm wrong and he puts together a Dustin-like run, but DP was 26.

Arnold Allen has already beaten up Hooker, and it was quicker, more violent and dominant than I expect tomorrow's fight between Hooker & Arman to be.

Allen is legit. Only downside is his low fight frequency. I think he beat Evloev and gave Holloway a tough fight.
