I just thought it was funny Val changed it from amoured core but threw the date in that way.Just like using imperial the US is one of a few counties that don't use MM/DD/YY
Official title and all with ‘Armoured’ Core not being a game; didn’t think Ghost would mind. I’ll likely pin this discussion for him at launch so it reflects well on the community and board to be on point where we can.I just thought it was funny Val changed it from amoured core but threw the date in that way.
unsure how i feel about this. on one hand, it sounds good. on the other, i'm sick of the only good aaa games seemingly being fromsoft.

You've played Dead Space and the RE4make, right?
I haven't played a mech game since the two Mechwarrior games for the original XBox, but seeing these AC6 trailers made want to play a modern mech game now.
And apparently one has been released somewhat recently... in late 2019... Mechwarrior 5.
For Series X it runs as a pretty smooth 60FPS.
May be picking this up pretty soon.
I thought Mechwarrior 5 is on Game Pass? I have it on my Series X via Game Pass. I haven’t played it in a while though — did they take it down?
Correction - It wasn't Mechwarrior games on the original XBox, they were the two Mech Assault games.
The first one was a damn good game and I have many fond memories of it.
The sequel? Well it was released around the time that it was very common for the campaigns to be cut in half to dedicate more development time to the XBox Live online play.
The only thing I remember about Mechassault 2, besides the abrupt ending, was the cool intro. Someone remade it in a higher resolution and uploaded it to YouTube. 2 minutes of awesomeness -
Those games were of the Battletech universe, which has a very deep lore and extended universe it can be compared to Star Wars -

From what I hear, Mechwarrior & Armored Core games don't have very thick stories, but just because a series revolves around giant mechs doesn't mean its not capable of having a deep story-driven narrative.
I had Mechassault 2, I thought it was awesome. The other mech game I had was Robotech: Battlecry

Titanfall 2 was awesome.I remember seeing this at Blockbuster so many times. For some reason I never actually rented it despite liking mech stuff and always picking the box up.
I remember playing Mech Assault 2 as well although I never owned it. I think my brother borrowed it from a friend for a while.
My brother enjoyed the Armored Core games and rented all of them from Blockbuster when they came out and I tried them out but god damn I had no idea wtf I was doing back then in those games I was very confused by all the stats and stuff on each part. I remember sometimes building something and thinking it'd be a beast and then I'd deploy it and it'd either be slow af or the weapons would not be what I thought they would be or I accidentally would give them wheels instead of legs etc.
I'm looking forward to this new one and I'm interested to see how big the series can get as I'm sure this will have a massive popularity boost outside of Japan and perhaps may revitilize the mech genre in the West (WHERE IS TITANFALL 3????)
AC2 was the only game in the series I played. It was like gran turismo but mecha. The amount of customization and balancing to create the perfect mecha was astonishing for a ps1 game.Never played the Armoured Core series, but this looks dope af.
