Armatix Smart Gun

Tap, rack is a hell of a lot easier than tap, rack, check batteries, check signal strength, call IT for troubleshooting...

Not only this but with weapons known to be troublesome they would abandon them to models that would reliably feed/eject/etc. Same with any ammo issues, dump whats not working. If this ever has a problem they will dump it. Im sure not many will want to put their life on the line when their chances are dependant of the reliability of a computer. Computers are much less reliable than a standard basic mechanical mechanism. You cant really screw up a mouse trap.....

Think about it, currently we have the most informed people to ever live. The phone in my pocket can get on the internet and have most all info in the world. You, me, everyone has more info at our fingertips than any other people that have ever lived, ever. Yet, even with an abundance of information and some of the best and brightest people working for us our government cant make a website reliable. You want officers to put their life on something that has a "call I.T. for technical assistance" sticker on the handle????

You guys are VERY uninformed on RFID technology, your buzz words of computer,IT, batteries, is actually funny. I bet you haven't spent 1 minute on that miraculous phone of yours that connects to the world, to find out what it is. I actually thought from ALL your previous posts that your miracle phone in your pocket only connected to Brietbart.notcalm, maybe thats why you haven't looked up the technology.

Oh I see, comparing a website to RFID technology is where your head is at, I get it. Somehow in all this debate, its Obama and the government's fault. You just can't get out of a mindset can you?

RFID systems can be easily disruptedSince RFID systems make use of the electromagnetic spectrum (like WiFi networks or cellphones), they are relatively easy to jam using energy at the right frequency. Although this would only be an inconvenience for consumers in stores (longer waits at the checkout), it could be disastrous in other environments where RFID is increasingly used, like hospitals or in the military in the field.

Also, active RFID tags (those that use a battery to increase the range of the system) can be repeatedly interrogated to wear the battery down, disrupting the system.

..........

I will just stick with my standard reliable semi autos..... and so will 99% of other gun owners...... and anti gunners and the government will hate it because they want this to catch on so they can try and control us.....

not gonna control an informed and well armed people.....

You can talk all you want, the fact of the matter is, it is more complex than a simple mechanical device like a modern, conventional, semi-automatic pistol. You cannot dispute that fact. Look at how many agencies have distanced themselves from manual thumb safeties. LEO pistol training is catered to the lowest common denominator; someone who has never fired a gun before in their life is expected to become good enough in a matter of weeks and afterward, only have to shoot like 50 rounds, once a year to requalify. To reiterate, a tap, rack will be easier and more intuitive than any troubshooting procedure for any "smart gun", this cannot be disputed.

I don't like the idea of these smart guns, but I'm not opposed to their short lived existence either. They'll soon realize that there's no market for such a thing (save for LEO sales, which will be met with heavy opposition from frontline officers) and poor sales will drive the company bankrupt.

Unless the government steps in, and either bails this company out, or forces merchants to sell them, or maybe even subsidizes their sale.

How is this Armatix technology being controlled by anyone other than yourself when you buy the gun? Do you understand RFID technology?

Do you understand how RFID technology can be spoofed? How RFID data can be intercepted?

Unless the government steps in, and either bails this company out, or forces merchants to sell them, or maybe even subsidizes their sale.

Its a German company who makes them ffs, why would the USA government step in and save them.

So why not let the people decide if they want it....right? If there is no market it will go away.

So why do pro gun groups see this as such a threat, to the point of threatening a gun dealers life if he sells them? What is the sense in that?

Yes jamming technology could be a problem, but it is the beginning of smart gun technology.

What does anti gun and government have to do with a gun coming to market? How EXACTY does this gun control you, how could anyone control it on you? You don't like the free market?

You know, you are probably the most government controlled poster there is, you are constantly checking your extreme right wing sites on an hourly basis to see how you should think and what to support (without using your own mind). The GOP is not in power right now, but they are controlling you 100% :)

#1 nobody should've threatened a gun dealers life, that's not what we responsible gun owners represent. Don't judge an entire group by 1 or 2 crazies, if we did this then EVERY group wouldn't be worth anything....

#2 people don't want the free market to decide because we "pro gunners" know there wont be a "free market" we see this as something that will have politicians pushing a product, that's never a "free market" and one of the worst is Eric Holder and I've already posted a video of him pushing this type of gun so this theory isn't some nutjob conspiracy, this will NOT be FREE MARKET, it will be pushed with politics and ALREADY has

1- Well the NRA spoke against it, I assume they are the "crazies"?

2- Paranoia at its best, no law to make EVERY gun owner have this gun would EVER pass, you do understand it has to get through Congress etc ...right? If Eric Holder says he likes it, does that mean its law? They tried to pass something as simple as background checks, that didn't even pass. Get a grip Robert, its paranoia spread by the extreme right wing sites you read. BTW those sites don't give news, they give opinions and hope to get members, with the fear and hate card. Why participate?

Do you really think I'm referring to the NRA when I say "crazies"??? I'm obviously calling the people who made death threats, those people are the "crazies"

You know for someone that "hates" me sooo much because I say left wing this, left wing that, I've noticed not only do YOU do the SAME THING, but you've been doing it MUCH MORE than me here lately......

You hate the right, I hate the left..... okay, whatever, let's get over it.

And by the way, when you say "those sites don't give news, they give opinions and hope to get members, with the fear and hate card. Why participate?"

What the fuck do you think MSNBC, CNN and FOX do???

So somehow it's okay if it's considered "mainstream"??? The liberal media plays scare tactics and creates racism wars all the time, this is their playbook, but yet we can call them sources of "actual news"???

Fuck that hypocrisy.....

Gee Robert, you sound angry again :)

You are right about MSNBC and FOX being partisan, but its not like CNN is an extreme station one way or the other, if your total right wing loon, you may think they are left.

Show me one example of where I spew hate at the right, maybe the extreme right like you, but never people on the right. I have voted conservative here in past elections, but I would never be voting conservation if I lived in the States, that tea party has taken you off the cliff. You need people on the right and the left to keep things healthy, its the extremism that should be called out.

Well watching the Tea Party from a distance, sure looks like it has a tinge of racism to me, strange how it manifested so hard under Obama being the President isn't it. I think its still like 40% of the GOP thinks he was born in Kenya ffs, and a huge percentage think he is muslim, what does that say?

Anyway, back to Armatix, the government can't control that gun when you buy it. If you don't like the gun, don't buy it, but don't get in the way of the free market.

As far as YOU not referring to the NRA as the crazy ones, it still doesn't change what they are (crazy). They sell guns for gun makers, plain and simple, and they use your donations to do so.

CNN not biased hahahaha i could post a million bias things from them but you would cry about your thread getting hijacked

Also, like Ron Paul has said so cleverly, the right of today is like the left from last decade and the left today is like the socialist a decade ago..... everything is leaning towards the left, we're supposed to be free but you have the left ALWAYS having public assistance handouts and the right not so much but now the right is doing it as well..... the right isn't conservative as it used to be and that why the tea party was born.

Of course someone that would lean to the left mindset would like both because its a win/win. No matter if there is a dem or repub president we get the same thing, always more socialism

And you calling the NRA crazy is crazy to me. Why are they crazy exactly, why specificly do you not like them? Call them whatever you want but thats just your opinion, millions of others think otherwise

OK Robert we're done here, you're too out there.

Quit giving welfare to poor people, quit giving food stamps to poor people, stop those foolish unemployment cheques, don't give healthcare to the 60 million who can't afford it. Give tax breaks to the super rich and the largest corporations. It should all work out fine.

Ron buzz word Paul is full of shit, he lived off the government job for 30 or 40 years and took as much pork back to his state as the next guy.

What is more socialist than a decade ago? What did breitbart.notcalm tell you about this?

Actually you don't have to answer, I really don't want to talk to you about your nonsense.

This is an armatix debate gone sideways again, time to reel back in.

Start up another one of your 5star threads to talk about the other stuff if you want, maybe I'll join in.

ehh, i find it funny how you state EXACTLY what my opinion is yet i haven't said my opinion

you're just full of assumptions aren't you? i appreciate your confidence in "knowing" what my exact views are but you couldn't be more wrong....

back to topic, here's your idol pushing your product......

I think it's great that people such as Eric Holder are on board with things like this...... thats means the overwhelming majority of gun owners will go the other way.....

there have been more AR-15's sold in America in such a short amount of time when Obama was at his peak pushing for an "assault weapons ban"..... i find it funny while the president is trying to make a law where people cant own something and the next MILLIONS of people do is go out and buy the very thing he's trying to ban, that's hilarious...... and the same will happen with Eric Holder, he will push this technology and it will sit on a shelf and collect dust because .00001% of gun owners will buy it.

here' a hint since you just don't get it, if Eric Holder, Dianne Feinstein, and others alike that have been vocal about their views on guns in the past, if people like that all of the sudden have a change of heart and they're pushing gun ownership is okay but only if you use "these types of guns"...... that seems a little shady..... like they have a plan..... like a plan that some have been so dumb to say while the cameras were still on..... and/or slipped up and said how they really feel instead of what they want the cameras to hear.
