Arman tsarukyan is a delusional person ?

Tsarukyan is absolutely elite level and I hope he gets a title shot in the next year or two.

To castigate a fighter because it took him most of 3 rounds to finish his opponent is a bit silly. And anyone can get caught with a shot, that guy Silva was no joke. I see this kind of thing frequently -- when a fighter has a bit of trouble in a fight, suddenly he's "not very good, not elite, delusional". Nope nope nope.

So... sorry Mr.Thread-starter but I disagree with you on this.

Arman's faults are his offensive capabilities, he just doesn't have anything devastating that is a threat. He's extremely well rounded and his grappling is his biggest strength. He's very competent in everywhere defensively. He works best edging decisions and outworking his opponents. Would think him vs Dariush would be next best fight.

I a win is a win and Im not gonna shit on him cause of that 20 wobble seconds. We don't have amateurs here, and anyone can get caught by a good one at some point... But calling the champ, or a top 5 guy over that performance against an unranked guy are just delusional.
It's cool when Oliveira gets knocked down 10 times a fight but it's a bad look if Arman gets wobbled

I'm not saiyng he's weak, I agree that he's elite.
But I think he's perfectly ranked as #8 RN.
I don't know if i make that clear enough when I open the thread, but I don't think arman is a bad figther, he have solid skills.
I really just dislike him as person, I think he's too much arrogant and he talks like the entire LW are shit cowards.
And his best accomplishments are what ? A competitive loss against islam 4 years ago
Competitive loss against gamrot ?

I know that division have serious issues with rank squatting ( not so much like WW) , and its a very hard division to break trough.

I'll say again, I'm not dismissing his victory that night, win is win.
But that's NOT an impressive win.
And tbh I think a figther should get a impressive win to call a title shot or climb the ranks.

To be more objective, win against a big name, achieve a high winstreak, or win with absolute fashion (don't need to be a knockout, I've already have seen a lot of decisions that I considered more dominant than some knockouts)
Arman set a good winstreak, and have a top 5 eliminator against gamrot, and he just lost.

He should call top 10 guys if he want to climb, I've already have said it a lot, but fiziev, turner and hooker are all realistic matches that will grant him guys above.

Do you really think that this last figth is worthy to a title shot or top 5 guy ?

So you're knocking him for making these call outs because you think he'll lose? Of course he's confident in his abilities and doesn't think he'll lose.

Stop trying to make sense. This is Sherdog where people go from Goat to Can and back to Goat depending on the wind direction.

Let's look at the Top 5 rankings at lightweight (this is not including makhachev the champion):
1. Oliveira
2. Poirier
3. Gaethje
4. Dariush
5. Chandler

I think Tsarukyan has a very good chance of beating ANY of those Top5. I'm not saying he would definitely beat all 5 but I'd say he would beat some of those Top5 fighters. It'd certainly be very close contests. As much as I like Poirier and Gaethje, both are (I would say) near the end of their careers and inevitably people slow down a bit at that point or maybe lose a bit of motivation to train their hardest.

I think your dislike for Tsarukyan's personality (you admitted to that "really just dislike him as person") is clouding your judgment on the issue of is he good enough to fight against Top5.
My view is a firm YES he is absolutely good enough to fight Top5. Maybe he'd win, maybe he'd lose, but I think he is capable of winning any of those fights if he puts together a great gameplan.

Pretty obvious that Arman is frustrated that most of the people ranked in his division are avoiding him.
He was being fast tracked and lost to Gamrot. Gamrot in the meantime fought Dariush (and lost) and then won a short notice fight against an extremely dangerous opponent in Turner.
Why should Arman jump him in the ranks after this performance against a 10:1 underdog?

UFC commentary before the fight was talking about this performance giving him a stab at top 5, they literally gave him a sacrificial lamb to get a highlight reel performance against and he failed.

as a fan, i understand where you are coming from. But if you just put yourself in Arman's position, you would understand why he is doing that. It is in his own best interest to generate buzz for himself, otherwise, who is to look out for his best interest? The UFC? lol

Of course fighters are confident in themselves and their abilities, they have to be. And why does it trigger you so much what Arman says when fighters talk BS all the time? You olive fans are the worst
