This is what happens when the most obvious measure of "merit" is popularity. Both of these guys are making noise, but throwing out so much stuff out there that some of it that anyone actually listens to can tell is bullshit.

It's much better than you're faking it being though. People can always dig up dirt on a record with a microscope, but yours has a crack in it.

It's definitely got momentum, which makes him the more deserving contender than Justin, but obviously not more than Arman, which is why it should have been them two fighting.

I wouldnt be suprised if Paddy wins.

That's nice, but we won't find out because the vacant title choice was based on popularity, not merit, so neither of our arguments about their records matters at all.

I never fought to earn a living at it, I started way too late and knew I'd never get good enough in the time I had to even have that as a consideration. But I damn sure know that the work it took just to be able to take a couple fights vs other inexperienced nobodies was insane. Beat the hell out my body. If my dad had hundreds of millions and I could roll around in Phantoms and basically live like a trust fund kid and do whatever I wanted...I probably never would've set foot in that gym. Just being honest, that kind of $ opens up the ability to do so much other shit with your time.

The fact that Arman puts that work in to be that good in his situation? It's impressive.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not pretending the money wasn’t an awesome level up but I come from a middle class family my cousins are all super rich. I grew up around super rich kids…I was mentioning arman to them and discussing how crazy he grew up as rich as you guys but decided to focus solely on martial arts.

Most these guys are business people or just rest on their families laurels and have little drive. In other words if it’s hard running in snow while wearing silk underwear as Marvin hagler once said then it’s definitely impressive to me this guy pushed himself this hard despite growing up rich.

I woulda thought at some point he woulda tapped out and realize f it im rich before he became a ufc contender

I get it, people don't like that Arman has an attitude and is a bit of an asshole in having the confidence of his. Fine, but let's focus on MMA for a sec.

I can't help but side with the guy here. He's calling out all the fakes for what they are. Wouldn't Ilia stuggle more with Arman than Paddy, thinking about it logically?
We all know that Paddy could have been a long way from a title shot, had he been put to face Arman in an eliminator bout. But both of them are now acting like
they have nothing to win, in this angling for a fight with each other. Absolutely fake behavior and Arman has the right to call that shit out for what it is.

Giving Paddy Gaethje instead, to have a bigger chance at reaching the Ilia fight is some embarrassing stuff. I'm definitely on team Arman regarding this.
