Arm Wrestling Strength

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I usually just read stuff on this forum. Soivet spy, the same exact thing happened to me. I broke my humerus bone while arm wrestling at work. I felt like an idiot and I promised myself not to arm wrestle again. I arm wrestled 2 guys that day. I almost beat the first guy, but he gave up and told me to arm wrestle the other guy. I didn't have time to rest a bit before the next match. I arm wrestled him on a chair, we were wrestling improperly i suppose. We both held on to the chair with the other arm. Started the match, after like 10 second I heard a huge sound. Thought the freaking chair broke, but it was my arm. I realized when my arm flinged around. The bone breaking sound was so loud, even the customers heard it. At first the doctor said I needed screws and plate, but i was lucky enough to have an expert cast up my arm. My parents were like, "how can you break your arm, arm wresting? You probably didn't drink enough milk"

Well anyways, it's been almost a year.

Yeah, i can feel your pain. I Wrestled this day 7 times, cause you had to have 2 wins to go further. One friend of my wanted to check if he can beat me i mean time + couple of times ref stopped action, so you cn say that it was about 10 matches. I said to myself that it was weakend my arm but it didn't felt any better until doctor said that my bones are ok. Guess i'm not calcium boy but not MR. Glass either. It was embatrasing as hell, cause you want to be the one who breaks bones not one with broken ones :). And whole wing of hospital ripped me cause of it :icon_cry2 .

Yo dude when you roll with a crew that's ready to arm wrestle any other crew you gots to expect crap like that.

alcohol+testosteron=@#$^#$^

This one time i saw program whit some ukrainian champion that showed his routine. Besides forearm curl, grip he did one bicep curl varition. You can do it by bending and putting your tricep on your tight. It kinda looks like imitation armwrestling move.

Edit:
here it is (shit that i said was what i tried to do to adapt it to my home gym during rehabilitation since i don't have preacher):

and other things:

Technique is most important. But I do think that good armwrestlers have that extra "something" that others don't have, be it good natural technique, good starting strength etc.

I am horrendously awful at armwrestling.

lol soviet, i got ripped on by everyone in the family. Everyone was like, that guy must be a beast to break someone's arm wrestling. Too bad, they weren't refering to me, lol. When I broke it, I had this weird like blackout feeling for a sec. Kept on saying I was alright, but after a few minutes my employer called the ambulance lol. The snapping sound of the humerus bone was refered to the sound of snapping a chicken bone lol by the ambulance guy.

Maybe I'm just a dick, but if I broke a coworker's arm I think I'd have to mention if from time to time.

There were some fucked gossip stories that Mariusz Pudzianowski broke my arm and some silly shit like this :). But after short ceremony and giving me and the other guy first places awards i walked calmly to hospital. Luckly it wasn't far, only a mile or so. Had few laughs in the waiting room when i noticed my arm bends in strange places. Hope next year i'll do better :)

Hehe good luck next year, i am scared of arm wrestling now haha. :icon_cry2

I own people in arm wrestling...everyone has weak wrists, so you can get them in the hook easily (the jocks always think its all about strength, or how much they bench, haha)...but yeah, I like arm wrestling, I'm thinking about entering a tourney as a lightweight...

That's nothing. If I did that I'd get a t-shirt made. Then I would take pictures of myself wearing the t-shirt and then put them into birthday cards and send them to him. Because that would probably be the biggest accomplishment of my life and I would have to milk it for all it was worth.

Fuck you you dicks!
Nah, i'm a dick to, well i'm not but i would be if a had a chance :)

Hi, new poster here.
In sweden we have a female five time world champion in arm wrestling so I checked her webpage and she says she does free weigths and some rope climbing apart from arm wrestling. She doesn't really go into very much details about he training but she specifically say she does not do any bench press.
Her webpage http://www.heidiandersson.com/

Oh yeah, I also have a collegue who suffered the exact same fracture to the upper arm as some other guys in this thread has mentioned.

same thing happened to my friend.....broke his humerous arm wrestling in a pub.It was accompanied by a huge snap and it took a few moments to figure out what it was.

He is a really good arm wrestler.I don't know if it's because he has short arms or is just really strong. He's one of those guys who is 5ft4 and weighs 130lbs but spends all his time under the bench, so he can put up 300lbs.(i know iknow bench means nothing for arm wrastlin) The weird thing though is that he never really drank milk ....i remember going to his house all the time in elementary school and he would always have a kool-aid mustache! The doctor looked at the x-rays and said it looked odd how much muscle there was compared to how little bone.

That chick is pretty hawt.

The best part about that chick is this from her site
I also arrange competitions and challenges together with my armwrestling relatives from my village Ensamheten (

And I think you're a douche for thinking such nonsense.

Anyways, asside from GOOGLING ARM WRESTLING and following the advice you come up with, I suggest thickbar pullups.

Yeah Urban, you read my mind, both on disagreeing on the bench thing and on the pullups
