Media Ariel Vs. Schaub Mega Thread

I really tried to give Shaw a chance here but after 2 minutes I did not find one insult that was even remotely funny so Ariel won this one

No they aren't valid at all. that's the point. Ariel is coming from Schaub's point of view of what success is.

Schaub thinks selling tickets is what the barometer of being a successful comedian is. he's been cancelling show's the last few months because he can't sell tigguds b. by his logic, he's not very successful.

"who gives a fuck what Mike Tyson says, honestly" - Schaub
But Schaub has the breast brain for the bizniss because he's a 6-5 former UFC HW and now a comedian which is a modern day philosopher so he'll speak on everything because check da numbers b.

Schaub and Ariel are both the hosts that people find divisive but still do for the sake of promotion. Ariel knows how to push and prod for both entertainment and to be the first to get a fighter to talk about a touchy subject because he enjoys the pro-wrestling and being an actual interviewer . Schaub is Rob Dyrdek of Ridiculousness with CTE.
Calling Schaub a failed comedian has validity. Calling him a failed fighter, content creator and podcaster does not - or, if he is a failed fighter, then so are 90% of the guests Ariel has on his show, as they weren't UFC champions either.

And where was Schaub making these personal attacks publicly on Ariel? What was the worst that he did, told people privately he was hard to work with - which tons of people have said? When a person gets mad personal like Ariel did, when they beef with as many people as Ariel beefs with, when he they say "No, i do not accept your appology..it was not sincere (apparently he is a psychic too)", then it says more about them than the person they are attacking.

And yes, Schaub probably does have CTE and looks like a bee sting victim, but that is neither here nor there. Resorting to ad hominem and personal attacks when addressing a point means you lose the argument.

Shwab's biggest accomplishment in life was becoming friends with Joe Rogan. If it wasn't for Joe he would have nothing. As a UFC fighter the dude was a tomato can.

I haven't been following this is quite exciting flare-up

Is there something ariel has done I'm not aware of? Being a podcaster doesn't cut it and actually is minus points in life. Podcasting is like being a real estate agent, you gave up.

Everything schaub has done is 1000x more impressive than anything I've heard ariel do... am I missing something? Some soyboy with absolutely 0 talent is asking schaub how his PROFESSIONAL fighting career went in the UFC or his PROFESSIONAL football career in the NFL... two things that fucking loser ariel would never be able to do.

A mma journalist who can get beat up by your local middle school kids... again who the fuck watches this douchebag? you're a douchebag.

When Ariel was belittling Brendan's UFC career he unwittingly shitted on 95% of the UFC roster. Brendan reached top 10 in his division ( a shit one I know), does this mean every UFC fighter outside the top 10 is a failed fighter?

Schaub is a low IQ, no talent jackass, but can you really say he's wrong about MMA journalists?

I mean, they're basically sports journalists who couldn't cut it covering the major sports. And sport journalists are terrible to begin with.

Most of the MMA journalists seem to hate the sport itself. They ask boring, basic bitch questions and seem to have little to no technical knowledge of MMA. The most successful ones are basically PR guys for ESPN and UFC.

Well, to be fair part of the issue is fans read and click on UFC and its fighters news stories a 100 fold over some news about a Rizin card or whatever. So journalist heavily cater to the UFC. But as we all know the UFC is petty as can be with not only journalist but fighters, employees, and anyone else for that matter that say anything negative. Much more so than any other sport. The media walks a very fine line with MMA. The UFC also tries to be Fort Knox with news leaking out. In the end there just isn't a lot of different stories to talk about on any given day in this sport when most fans only care about the UFC. Which is why almost every MMA website is just rehashing the same stories the other site has. Most don't want to stir the pot because they lose access to the number one player in the sport that their whole business revolves around. The UFC doesn't like negative opinions, even if those opinions hold some merit.

Some Bloody Elbow writers, Ariel, Luke Thomas seem to be the most vocal now about the UFC and have no problem about talking about the negatives they do. They built themselves up to be large in enough in the MMA media world that they don't need the UFC's graces to be successful.
