CLIFFS OF BEEF Ariels 118 minute video
So I'm finally listening to the interviews, and they both come off terribly. By the replies I was expecting Ariel to look good here but he comes off looking very childish. So what happened is Paddy called Ariel and asked him if he wanted to do something when Paddy came to NYC, and Ariel said yes. Paddy said he would check with his manager, but then never got back to Ariel. Ariel messages Paddys manager when he's in NYC asking if they want to do an interview. Paddy's manager says he has paid gigs and he won't do the interview without getting paid. Ariel starts crying and says he's insulted and has never been asked to pay for someone to do an interview. They squabble a bit and Paddys manager says he's doing the paid gigs, not Ariels show. Ariel then messages Paddy crying again and sending pictures of the conversation with his manager. Paddy says his manager books the interviews not him, Ariel cries some more saying you wont do my interviews without getting paid? Paddy says talk to my manager I don't know. The next day Ariel goes on a podcast and starts asking the host if he would ever pay a guest to be on his show, and claims he never mentioned Paddy but apparently everyone found out it was Paddy and most likely Ariel knew they would. Paddy messages Ariel the next day telling him not to talk shit about him and calling him a piece of shit, saying people are messaging him asking him "Did you see what Ariel said about you?". Ariel's long winded response was that he never said it was Paddy so it doesn't count even if people figured it out., and "What the fuck do you want me to do about it". Ariel literally sheds a tear and says if you don't want to talk to me again fine. Paddy says his manager just mentioned talking to BT sports and Ariel flew off the handle. Paddy says Ariel shouldn't be mentioning things over text in any interviews. Ariel says too bad it happened. Ariel basically says he helped Paddy along in his career when nobody cared about him and asked him to come on the show when producers were telling him nobody cares about Paddy. I couldn't help but notice the parallels between this story and the way Dana helped Ariel when he was younger, it almost seemed like irony.
After that the interviews came out and now we are here.
No idea how people think Ariel is 10-6'ing Paddy or how he's even coming off good here. He's coming off like a true cry baby who can't handle things that don't go his way.
I also couldn't help but notice Paddy's thoughts about Ariel pretending to be fighters friends in order to get them on for Interviews, something I've personally seen him do countless times, and it's 100% true. Beyond that 90% of the shit Paddy said was wrong and he is a dumbass.
Pt.2 Ariels next 18 minute interview
He starts off by saying he never asked him to drop an interview that was paid. Never insinuated, never happened. However this isn't really true. After Paddy's manager told Ariel that he had paid gigs set up Ariel continued crying about it, and that he has never paid guests, basically insinuating that he should drop them to go on his show. He didn't specifically ask him to do it, but he cried that Paddy wouldn't come on and fought with his manager about it.
I only read your last paragraph but that much is a mixture of misrepresentations and lies.
Ariel, who I have not been a fan of recently, did not "basically insinuate" that Paddy should drop paid gigs and go on his show.
That's just a lie, period.
He DID push the fact that he was offended to be asked for pay when in his 15 yrs of doing this nobody has ever asked him for pay. He said that not even the likes of Jon Jones or Conor ever asked him to pay them and he found that insulting.
That is NOT at ALL "insinuating" that they should do it for free and drop their paid gig. That's an outright misrepresentation of facts.
That IS stating DIRECTLY (not insinuating) that their behaviour was insulting to him. Since when is being direct about being insulting "insinuating" some passive aggressive bs??
If I ask a business associate to a meeting and he says "I can only meet with you if you pick up my dry cleaning - I'm meeting with a lady who picks up my dry cleaning - will you do it also?"
And I say "no, and that's an insulting question. In my whole career no client has ever asked me to pick up their dry cleaning. A simple 'no, I can't meet' would have sufficed but I'm insulted you'd even ask me this" and we go back and forth on my being insulted.... and then I hear he's telling ppl that I "basically insinuated" he should not get his dry cleaning and should instead meet with me.....
....I'd say he was a shit head. And at that moment he would, indeed, be being a shit head.
I would NOT have "basically insinuated" that he don't get his dry cleaning. I don't give a fk about his dry cleaning - but I'm insulted that he'd stoop to ask ME to get it for him. This is a whole other subject than what meeting he should take. It's basic feedback that he's being a douche.
The fact that you can conflate these two things in your final paragraph is a strong indication that I'd be wasting my time reading the rest of what you wrote. As would anyone interested in an honest discussion on the subject.
Your response is disingenuous at best, ignorant possibly. And, at worst, it's purposefully manipulative.
