Ariel rips good young fighter--needs checked

I remember thinking, during his show for The Ringer, that Hill would react poorly if Ariel ever interviewed him and here we are.
I’m an Ariel fan but I’m pretty sure he said:

“It feels to me that the LHW and MW division have champions that are very good and had very impressive wins but are not respected by the division or mma community.”

“I feel like he (Periera) can go up to 205 and be the double champ. Is that a crazy thought?”

- The Ringer MMA Show around 12:30.

It was pretty clear by his tone and surrounding comments that he was kind of diminishing Hill as a champ.

Which is totally fine.

But just own up to it when you chat to the dude.

Sherdog does the exact same thing after every big fight discussing What’s next and who could possibly beat them next and so on.

I do understand Hill’s side of it also, it’s the biggest moment of his career and discussion about what’s next is already happening. He just needs to realize, talking heads need something to talk about.

Good points. I think I’m just used to it after hearing his post event discussions for years. Lot of the fighters get offended because he does offer up these scenarios. I’d say most times he’s just having a discussion and noting possibilities.

One thing I do agree is that more emphasis should have been put on the feat he just conquered in winning the title instead of the Dana stuff and arguing. Ariel should have just said okay I’m sorry for how it came off and moved on. But he decided to explain everything in its entirety. Jamahal wasn’t hearing it so it really didn’t come across too well.

Mr. "Receipts," got checked by Jamahal Hill and blatantly lied to his face several times a few days ago about Alex moving up to become champ champ. (Who cares about this shit anyways except casuals)?

So any credibility Ariel has in my eyes is out the window this point forward.

He also pretty much disrespected Hills win over Glover, when the facts are Jamahal looked better in his entire fight than Jiri did until his come from behind win in the final round against Glover.

Jamahal styled on Glover. Jiri squeaked by. I get to be the champ you gotta be the champ, but Jiri isnt around and it was still a monstrous win that deserves respect.

Also, in a way...Ariel disrespected Glover by inferring he shouldnt be excited about beating him lol. The balls on this dude....



My point is when will this nerds support end? I understand a lot of you guys hate Dana and use Ariel as a vicarious tool to get back at Dana in your weird way, but this dude has a serious narcisssist complex and talks a lot of shit for a skinny fatass that probably couldn't win a fight against 70 year old Albert from the local Karate class. He claims to be a crusader for fighters but he is starting to show he just exploits like all the rest.

Hill just won a belt. Something that he has worked hard for over the years. And Ariel diminishes it and then when he's called on it changes the subject in ways that are cheap. Hill pretty much schooled him on that though. Then they finished up on the same page. So it's all good in my opinion.
