Ariel rips good young fighter--needs checked

Such a useless thread lmao. Apparently we can’t talk about hypotheticals anymore

Because I am defending a young interim champion who could potentially (See what i did there) be undisputed?

Right my dude. Carry on then.

That's what I thought was happening here sir lol.
That's why I asked to see the video with the quotes, thank you for setting this straight, you're the man boss.

Jamahal styled on Glover. Jiri squeaked by. I get to be the champ you gotta be the champ, but Jiri isnt around and it was still a monstrous win that deserves respect.
ESPN forced the UFC to stop doing interim titles, but this match-up was essentially an interim title. It could even be described as the interim of an interim, considering how many times the UFC LHW title has been vacant in recent years and the fact that there are elite LHWs outside of the UFC.

Glover has a lot of heart and toughness, but it was painfully obvious that, at 43 years old, his reaction time has visibly slowed.

you are asking me to go through way too much effort to prove that he said "I can see a scenario where alex becomes champ champ"

Since you are so vitriolic about my post.....then you post that stuff. I dont have the time to dig for all that buddy.

Or watch Gurus video, either way i dont care that much. lmao.

If you're going to say something was said you generally have to show it being said is all sir.

yeah but bro not even a year ago he took Jiri to school for 4 rounds, where does this Jiri would school Hill narrative come from that people have seemed to come up with?

Sigh....sure

Timestamped. He is implying Alex could become a champ champ. But then he said he never said anything like that. lol

Mr. "Receipts," got checked by Jamahal Hill and blatantly lied to his face several times a few days ago about Alex moving up to become champ champ. (Who cares about this shit anyways except casuals)?

So any credibility Ariel has in my eyes is out the window this point forward.

He also pretty much disrespected Hills win over Glover, when the facts are Jamahal looked better in his entire fight than Jiri did until his come from behind win in the final round against Glover.

Also, in a way...Ariel disrespected Glover by inferring he shouldnt be excited about beating him lol. The balls on this dude....

My point is when will this nerds support end? I understand a lot of you guys hate Dana and use Ariel as a vicarious tool to get back at Dana in your weird way, but this dude has a serious narcisssist complex and talks a lot of shit for a skinny fatass that probably couldn't win a fight against 70 year old Albert from the local Karate class. He claims to be a crusader for fighters but he is starting to show he just exploits like all the rest.

What the fuck are you trying to say? Indecipherable

Imo ariel got some payback which was justified against Schaub, Dana and Paddy and his ego went to his head. Now he thinks he can just talk down to people. Jamahal didnt warrant any of that BS ariel was spewing on his show then trying to insinuate Jamahal said it was ok to hit women when he never said that.

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell lol, and if you seem to disagree with him now its "Well Dana slapped his wife and you commented on it," its a pretty basic gaslighting tactic using something negative you had nothing to do with, against you. Designed to make a person second guess themself; but Hill didn't bite.

That is one thing I agree with on this topic. He clearly didn’t want to talk about it and after hearing his explanation on what he meant by his tweet, I understand. Ariel shouldn’t have kept pushing it, after all Dana is his boss so he doesn’t want to stir the pot also

Exactly I’m not the one saying all this bs so I do t have to prove shit lmao

He's really just taking that Guru guys word for it which I would never click on.
I think the real interviews are more important than just taking one guy's word.

You watched the interview and the after show of the actual interview which is better information overall sir.

Yeah no doubt just another parrot. For everyone who wants the real story, yes, Hill called him out on this but like I explained, Ariel was discussing future opponents and steps next for Hill and mentioned that people have been saying Perreira should be next. Annnd if he wins, he could become double champ. Keyword “if”

However the biggest gripe Jamahal had was that Ariel said it’s arguable that Jiri is still the number 1 LHW in the world because he hasn’t lost. Arguable, not a fact. Jamahal then went into the mma math topic saying he beat glover more impressively, etc. we all know how mma math works.

So in the end, they smoothed it over and Jamahal felt Ariel was diminishing his win which he wasn’t intentionally. He was doing what he always does and discussing the fight and future steps. Ariel also mentioned how he always has him on his show and highlighted the win by sharing stories, posts, etc on his social media. Both are fine in how they feel, just a misunderstanding in the end.

You think you could pop rhe interview in my PM sir?

That sounds more like how people get mad at Ariel though lol.

I’ll post the video here so everyone can view it. I think the post fight interview was on Spotify though.

One thing I do agree is that more emphasis should have been put on the feat he just conquered in winning the title instead of the Dana stuff and arguing. Ariel should have just said okay I’m sorry for how it came off and moved on. But he decided to explain everything in its entirety. Jamahal wasn’t hearing it so it really didn’t come across too well.

I agree. I’ve always more or less liked Ariel’s stuff, albeit annoying and shallow at times. But this new persona of “not turning the other cheek anymore” and “hitting back” has really sparked a battery in his back and he’s really been getting too big for his britches. He’s turned into a clown

I remember thinking, during his show for The Ringer, that Hill would react poorly if Ariel ever interviewed him and here we are.

I’m an Ariel fan but I’m pretty sure he said:

“It feels to me that the LHW and MW division have champions that are very good and had very impressive wins but are not respected by the division or mma community.”

“I feel like he (Periera) can go up to 205 and be the double champ. Is that a crazy thought?”

- The Ringer MMA Show around 12:30.

It was pretty clear by his tone and surrounding comments that he was kind of diminishing Hill as a champ.

Which is totally fine.

But just own up to it when you chat to the dude.
