Ariel Moving to the Action Network

Someone fill me in on what happened i don’t follow

Ariel's ESPN contract was coming due in June. Earlier this year ESPN offered to renew his contract at roughly his same pay(maybe a slight bump). Reportedly Ariel is making a little less than 500K a year from ESPN. Ariel asked for money and ESPN said no. Ariel shopped himself around and probably came back to ESPN with maybe an adjusted request in pay, ESPN listened maybe adjusted the deal or maybe not, and in the end Ariel made the decision to move on. Really not sure why everyone shits on him for it. Happens all the time in that line of work. Hell, most MMA journalist/reporters can't even earn a living wage in this sport.

Ariel might make more money short term, but lose his public profile and get forgotten. Could backfire on him.

according to the original post article espn was not going to renew ariel at the same pay. they were offering substantially less and ariel wouldnt take it and instead went out to get offers.
