This is funny to me. Ariel thinks he is bigger than the sport. He took the ESPN job because he thinks he’s the Howard Cossel of MMA.

Then wanted a bigger contract at a time in which ESPN is letting go of people that have worked with them for much longer than Helwani because their obsession with non-sporting related content has less and less people tuning in. And wanted that contract at a time in which he’s so terrified of the rebranded Flu that he would be working from home because he’s too scared to leave his house.
