No, the rock is one of the worst actors of all time. The Smashing Machine doc was all we needed. This looks like ass imo.

Sure but I watch most sports movies not because I think it's a special one.
For reference I really liked the Clarissa Shields movie it's much better than watching her real fights.

Plus, Mark Kerr? Really? There are plenty of other MMA fighters with way more interesting stories than Mark Kerr they could have done a movie like that on.

Yeah, but how many of those MMA fighters does The Rock look like? He sure isn't starring as Renzo Gracie anytime soon.

I don't know, doesn't seem that interesting or well done, and I also don't really like Dwayne "Mr. Fake" Johnson.

Dude... that is a steaming pile of shit, worse than it had any right to be. From what I can tell, it was so unusually terrible because DC deviated from their usual awful scriptwriting practices and let the Rock implement his own abysmal script-writing practices, which didn't give two shits about the character or the fans, but was intended to leverage The Rock onto the top of a very profitable super-hero universe. His ego directly screwed up three movies.
All that being said, I'd still only rank 2 or 3 DC movies ahead of Black Adam.

I will watch it as a stream / torrent. Not going to the cinema for that one. But I loved the smashing machine documentary form 25 years ago. Also I hope Kerr will make good money.

The rock is a decent actor and I like the subject. Honestly dont know why I wouldnt watch it once

I hate Dwayne Johnson, terrible actor. But I love Mark Kerr and The smashing machine documentary is one of the greatest I have ever seen. If I support Mark Kerr by watching it, maybe.

I’m gonna go and watch in the theatre/cinema…

But I’m gonna be pissed if Hollywood makes his girl a hero - where she was an actual villain in the day…

i just wish they didnt have bader and bas in it and also if it didnt have the rock the movie would be rated very low i bet even though it looks good

The rock sucks, I don’t want to watch that guy in anything.

Kinda feel the same, I am less likely just because it's the Rock. Not that's he's not a huge star and he isn't the worst actor ever, but he is soooooo overexposed and I am almost sick of him right now. I may wait until it's on Netflix.

Ricco had some great wins under his belt. He had all the potential in the world, it's a shame he burnt out so young.
I was at the UFC and just happened to be sitting behind his parents and entire extended family when he won the HW title. It was wild. He had a wild beef with Dana and the Fertita's at one point and then got into drugs. I just looked up his record and he fought up to 2019 and had a 12 fight win streak against cans a few years back.

Bader as Coleman is terrible casting. I'll watch it though.

Man, that must have been amazing! I'm sure his family must have been even louder than Eddie Alvarez's wife lol

I've never watched a mma movie, but this seems like decent quality, I'll give it a shot.

Going opening day with @GoldenAzazel

Looks legitimately good. I have a lot of faith in A24 too. They produce good films.

The Rock can act he just realised it wasn't worth the effort and could be The Rock in everything and get paid big but I think that is wearing thin with him now.

nah, neither the actor nor the story are of any interest. Unlike Kerr and Dwayne, no needles moved here.

I heard natty rock is a great actor

No question this way, The Rock will "People's Elbow" this flick like a champ. NO ONE that knew him as a record-setting University of Miami football that became a 4 Star $hit talking funny AF wrestler with perfect comedic timing should doubt his acting ability.
