"Election results that we don't like shouldn't be binding" seems like a pretty extreme right-ward move. As does the idea that (at least Republican) politicians should be above the law.

You aren't alone , I have similar issues. I have I guess what you could consider both extreme left wing and extreme right wing views depending on the topic. I often joke with friends if I have extreme views on both sides does that make me a centrist ? I consider myself a nationalist and think we should invest in our people and dominate the world if I am being honest. Makes voting hard and talking politics in real life can go into rough waters quick. Often people will assume I'm with them and find out quickly that I'm not.

This is where a lot of people find themselves these days and it's pretty much where I am in a lot of ways.

The problem came when the left stopped focussing on economic issues and went full in on social issues.

The irony is that there's still massive economic inequality in a lot of western countries (particularly the US and the UK) but most people have become totally accepting of people from different races and different sexaulities.

The left ends up focussing on crazy or trivial stuff whilst masses of people go hungry.

You know this is not true of the actual left at all. You're talking about the Democratic Party. They will talk about social issues because social issues are not incompatible with capitalism at all.

Because right and left is just a description of how you see the distrubution of power and how you'd change it.
If you want power to spread, you're left wing.
If you want power to consolidate, you're right wing.
There is no political opinion that is outside of this spectrum because politics = who has power and how they handle it.
What's shitty is we let "right" and "left" become bad words when they're literally just a description of what you think.

Right wingers have the loudest voices and proudest voices because their traits (business owners, celebs, etc people who have money) fall into that. They usually are more egotistical, proud, and want to show themselves off and their affiliation.

While no true Scotsman is true in this case all the leftys revile the Democratic Party. The Democrats are pretty far right even compared to their controlled opposition clones like Labour in the UK. The Democrats accept the Reagan neoliberal consensus and their main objective is to protect the corporate world from their voters in a controlled environement.

Not familiar with TSM (except a finance term). But, like, look at yesterday when you were saying we shouldn't do anything about climate change because some rich people have noticed it and not taken all the steps you think they should. That's a clear example of putting tribalism and petty spite over principle. And it's just one example of many I could have cited (another one was your view that since some liberals disagree with you, you can't have liberal positions--outsourcing your thinking).
