I'd love to get my hands on some good autobiographies / biographies in audiobook form, but not much is turning up. (I did find a pulpy adventure audiobook about a MMA fighter leading a group of humans to survive an attack by a prehistoric sea monster...)

Are there any good podcast episodes that are basically audiobook autobiographies?

I remember listening to a podcast that reviewed Tank's book, which was hilarious. Anyone remember what podcast that was?

I mean... You might as well start with the GOAT

I would pay tree fiddy for an audiobook of Tito Ortiz reading Shakespeare

"Five days a week, I'm to be three days a week. One of those days I will not to be two days of the week. So, six days a week to be or not to be, that is the question for me, the greatest light heavyweight of the night"

Good question, ill do a search and see if i come up with any more

Haha I know the exact Tank Abbott book you are talking about, because I actually brought that back in the day on Ebay, it is one of the weirdest books I have ever read haha, its nut to read. I have other MMA books but nothing was like Tanks lol. Especially because it was in a 3rd person perspective named Walter, but it was obviously supposed to be Tank himself.

I'll make you an audio copy of "Matt Hughes: Made In America - The Most Dominant Champ In UFC History" for $500.

Money up front.

I've been told I have a pleasant speaking voice.

100% dead serious.

$40/hr x 7.5 hours voiceover @304 pages
.: $200 fĺat fee audio engineering

It's a terrible deal as a one off but if you make a go fund me with a few sher homies it will provide solid entertainment.
I'll go all out and deliver a performance that will knock your socks off especially on scenes like the pig testicle throwing.

Add another $100 and I'll throw in original mood music for the scene when he sexually assaults his 13 year old future wife and include subtle use of "A Country Boy Can Survive" during any passages where he discusses how awesome he is at beating asses in MMA.

The reasoning I've heard behind that book is he wrote his real life story as a fictional character so he couldn't be sued by anyone he assaulted. I've watched enough episodes of Law And Order to know this is air tight.

jfc I didn't know about the sexual assault of a 13 year old.

I actually have no interest in his book, but if you offered to read Tito's book in the character of Tito, I'd try to get a gofundme going.

Forrest Griffin's two books are both worth reading.

The first one actually tells his story, the 2nd is a parody book about surviving the apocalypse.

I dont know if there are audio versions though.
I've heard his first book is hilarious.

Also, I remember the podcast hosts kept interrupting their review of Tank's book to read a passage from Earnest Hemingway about a homosexual screaming into the night to suppress his real self. I guess Tank described his own street fights with some really strange, anguished and self-hating undertones, especially considering Tank said on UFC commentary he swings both ways and Randleman said he took them to a gay club.

Nah. Reading like Tito sounds like a tortuous experience that I don't wish to put myself through

Matt Hughes book is a fucking doozie.

It's amazing that someone could write that (or have a ghost writer do it) and then the finished product comes out and you therefor know that Matt at some point decides - yeah, that is the way I would choose to present myself to the world.

If you don't ever read it, at least look up Sean McCorkles review, that is a very quick summary and gives you the most shocking bits.

Like whatserface writing she shot a puppy she was too inept to train.

lol my knowledge of the book comes from McCorkle's review, but I really don't remember him molesting a 13-year-old. It's been a decade, at least, since I read the review, though.

Yeah he braggs about hooking up with a 13 year old girl (if my memory is correct, I think it is) at a party while he is home from college then the story continues on to reveal that girl goes on to be his wife and mother of his kids.

He also discusses basically sexually assaulting her when she is under anesthesia after a surgery, years later.

It's a really fucked up book.

I bet his kids appreciate having that published about their parents

I remember the anesthesia bit. I've always hated him since he was handing out bibles on TUF while sleeping with his teammate's wife, so the book was just kind of the ultimate gift for a hater lol.

Oh yeah Tanky is very fond of the boys no doubt about it, remember after he got beat up and wrestled to death by Dan Severn what he said about Freddie Mercury
