I owned all his grappling books. There was some interesting stuff in there, even though everyone shit on his non-expertise. I'm sure I still use some of his stuff -- the first martial art I ever studied had Japanese catchwrestling submissions, so I could make it work. I still rely on the first submissions I ever learned when I'm attacking from mount or side control and nobody knows what the hell I'm doing until they're tapping out lol

Ahahahaha that is my go-to choke in mount! There's also a weird throat-crush choke that I've never in seen in BJJ, but is pretty damn effective. It's like an Ezekiel where you grab your own elbow instead of your sleeve.

lol Yes, this is very true, I'd even build the rocket myself. But a roundtable between Stipe, Tito and Wallid Ismael would bring me back.
