NFL Are NFL athletes the best in ball sports?

A player gets knocked out cold via completely unprotected head collision in the opening 3 minutes of this game. This was just a few days ago. The guy that KOs him is 250lbs.

Heres the leading tackler in the NFL last season.

Wow look at all those massive high speed hits that couldnt happen in rugby....

We all know the likelihood that an American football nutrider has watched rugby any amount of time is very slim, and they're counting on no rugby fan having watched American football either. So they can get away with all their hyperbolic nonsense about 300lb olympic sprinters colliding with people at 25mph on every play.

I think we're talking about different things. Is there an active NFL player who would beat a rugby player at 400m tomorrow?
Sure is his name is Robert Woods

As an accomplished sprinter, Woods was a 2010 All-USA high school track & field selection by USA Today. He recorded personal bests of 21.04 seconds in the 200 meter dash, and 46.17 seconds in the 400 meter dash.[7] Woods' 400 meters time of 46.17 ranked him #11 on the 2010 World Junior list, #4 in the USA.[8] At the 2010 CIF California State Meet, Woods finished runner-up in the 400 metres to Joshua Mance in a photo finish.[9] He placed third in the 200 metres, behind Remontay McClain and Davonte Stewart. He had career-bests of 21.04 seconds in the 200 metres and 46.17 seconds in the 400 metres.

Ever notice we never see that kind of thing talking rugbyites? I could fil 8 lanes with sub 47 400m cats who played pro football, where are the rugbyites doing anything/somethig.......well?

Don't care about their rugby this Is about them being like the cat above doing other things..........OK OK O K????????

I meant 1500, not sure why I put 400. Yeah I would agree on 400, I think 1500 is more where it becomes distance running, 400m is the endurance sprint.

Any NFL players beating soccer in 100,200 and 400?

Its all meaningless anyway. The majority of athletes with raw speed potential dont even go into track in the first place. It isnt a priority for sporting talent anywhere in the world.

Has there ever been a fast soccer player, who?

The NFL has had at least a 1000 sub 10.30. 20.70 47.00, while I doubt soccer has any.

Right now today the NFL has Raheem Mostert a BIG10 100/200 champ, D' Achane a sub 10.20, Tyreek Hill a 10.19/20.14, Jonathan Taylor 10,4ish. a 4.21 40 cat in Xavier Worthy.

Would have to do some work on 1500 and pro footballers, but.......bet I can find more decahletes...playing right now,

I think the main issue in terms of looking at speed is that no other country does the college system like Americans do, soccer players have never run track because it's pointless for them.

All we can go on is how fast players who didn't make it and decided to switch to running are.

Didn't do very well but did play a few pro games.

Rookies sheesh~~~~~

The NFL has been chocked full of college sprinters.

Hell,...

The Chiefs

lane

1.Stone Johnson 9,3 Olympian WR 200m
2.Ken Thomas 10.0ht
3.Warren McVea 9.5
4.Tyreek Hill 10,19/20.19
5.Frank Pitts 9,5
6.Jamaal Charles 10.18
7.Nolan Smith 9.4
8.Xavier Worthy NFL record 4.21

There is more speed on just the Chiefs than we have seen in the history of rugby.

The US is unique in its college system though. In other sports players are already pro by college age so they're not going to track meets.

Yeah this is another big part of it, it isnt the norm to compete in multiple sports in most countries, thats largely a US college thing, its an anomaly. With something like soccer especially you have kids that are like 9 years old playing for a pro teams youth academy, the talents are being moulded at a very young age in that sport, its highly technical. Who the fuck is gonna go "yeah i'm gonna go do shot putt and badminton now"?

Anyone denying that soccer has more fast people than any sport on earth needs their head checked. It has the biggest and most diverse talent pool of any sport by a huge margin. Would not be surprised at all if it has more more than double as many Africans/African diaspora people competing in it as American football, basketball and track COMBINED.

Yeah, Lamine Yamal wouldn't even be at college yet in the US I don't think.

You can't tell me someone like Mbappe couldn't have put down an absurdly fast track time if he'd wanted to, but for him learning how to start from the blocks etc would be a complete waste of time.

My God guy, really? REALLY?

Dudes who sat on NFL benchs, guys who flopped at rugby, guy who flopped at soccer freally is the best rugby can do isn't it?

We have seen six NFLers run the finals of the Olympic 100m. Seen a different six run the finals of the Olympic 200m..

Wow~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Soccer players would never be allowed to go and compete at the Olympics lol. That's ridiculous.

There's no way we can measure active players because they don't run track because there's no point in running track for them.

"Yeah I know you're paying me nearly a million a week but I really want to go to the Olympics in the summer and also can I take some time off training to focus on starting from the blocks?"

As we can see, well they could have they should have,,.......hahahaha!

FACTS

No ball sport comes remotely close to the NFL if talking speed.

Watch this.....

That NFL All time 100m

lane

1.Bob Hayes Olympic gold holder of 11 world records
2.Jacoby Ford 10. 01
3,Jeff Demps 10.01 Olympian
4.Trindon Holliday 10,00
5.Jim Hines Olympic gold WR holder 9.95
6.Wilie McGee WR 9.1
7.Ron Brown10.06 Olympian
8.Sam Graddy 10.09 Olympic silver medal

I could do a B race where everyone ran a sub 9,4.10,20

Now lets see sone speed from soccer and rugby,,,,,,,,

prediction......nothing. But they could have should have,
