Isn’t that him in his avi? I always assumed it was.
Yes, that’s me in my avi. I’m a crossdresser.

I don’t wanna put some random baddie cause that would be misleading.

Honestly I didn’t post on Sherdog until I saw the hormonal transitions thread. After that I was like okay there are some fan boys here for that.

Most of Sherdog has a soft spot for that. The other half is in denial lol not really bold cause my identity is still concealed lol

I used to love Depeche Mode, Duran Duran and The Cure wearing make up.
Fuck knows what you're on about.
Some of the hair metal guys who wore more makeup for a single show than an average lady wears a month literally banged chicks by the thousand.

Some medieval knights whos job was to kill people on the battlefield would be viewed as flamboyant by today's appearance standards.

It's not the look, it's the behaviour and the deeds. And yes, many of todays men are not masculine at all.

I'm not even sure what masculine means - I don't drink or fight or even have much in common with masculine men. I'm solidly left wing, don't buy into Dana's rubbish about toxic masculinity not existing etc etc etc

Most of my interests/hobbies in life would very popular with women as well, like reading or writing. I don't particularly have much interest in sports or shooting or (fill in the blank).

For some reason though, I always notice a strong correlation between how much my life improves and also how much I adapt a masculine frame/mindset in life. I'm not sure why, but it...just works.

I ruminate less. I do more. I even feel like I'm moving forward in life instead of feeling sad or sorry for myself or anything like that.

People in general just respect me more as a masculine man. My words carry more weight. I feel less anxious about speaking up in general or doing what I feel is right.

Looking on it now, the more headaches in life I seemed to have the more expressive or feminine I tried to be. It just seemed to tire me and left me open to being hurt again and again.

Are men less masculine in general now? I think they are, but I'm not sure if it was a change in the right direction. So many men feel confused, isolated and lost in their place in the world and I wonder if this ight be one of the many reasons why.
Well without even judging or giving my opinion on it, I don‘t think that anyone can deny the push in American/Angloshere culture to narrow the difference between men and women. This push has accelerated greatly between say 2010-2025.

Narrowing the difference means men become more feminine and women become more masculine. You don‘t need to think long about it to come to that conclusion.

Seems many people just have no sense of shame. They will demonstratively act out in public and not care what anybody says or thinks...right up until their antics are forwarded to their employer and they wind up fired.

The modern phrase "toxic masculinity" never sat right with me, as if society decided some arbitrary level of masculinity to be unacceptable.

Society in general has become feminised, it's the logical thing to happen when more and more people in power are female. Toxic femininity manifests as the 'smother mother' hence the recent years have seen more and more nanny state type behaviours introduced by governments all across the western world.

If inteligence was killed why are tv shows more complex compared to the past of like the 80s and most of the 90s?

We are gone ignore the HR coded lawfare elephant in the room?
You bring out an excellent point though. TV shows have like 10‘ the complexity of a generation ago.

People have been complaining that “men aren’t men anymore” forever.

Men in the 1980s wore makeup and dressed as girls in front of sold out concerts with thousands of people. In the 70s they danced to disco in tight jeans or leather pants. Dudes in the 90s wore little jean shorts and fanny packs.

Men these days don’t do any of that.
I think this is a valid, yet merely anecdotal exception or counter example in a general trend.
