Are elbows and hammer fist to the toes legal?

Imagine just hammering away at the toe, with the elbow, until just a bloody stump remains
@HI SCOTT NEWMAN we might be onto something here

Reminds me of that time @BroRogan had toe cramps, I put it down to that anti diarrhea medication he was taking. Because if you read the leaflet it clearly says side effects are possible cramps

I want to see someone get a tko finish win from foot stomps or 12-6 elbows.

Back when I trained, we trained on getting our toes & feet stomped on. Shit sucked.

It sure looks like you could mess up some toes or feet from the position I referenced, if you hit it just right. Problem is your training partners will get really pissed when you practice it on them. Just watch in the fights coming up this Saturday, how often the position presents itself. I can already hear y'all yelling at the screen "JDM elbow his toes ! elbow his toes!!"

it's allowed but if you try to 12-6 elbow the toes and you miss and accidentally hit your own dick then that IS illegal and you will be penislized 1 point

you can legally grab your own shorts....

So logically you should be able to legally smash your own dick <Y2JSmirk>

I mean the only relevant foul in the Unified Rules is this:

Unified Rules of MMA said:
15. Small joint manipulation;
a. Fingers and Toes are small joints. Wrists, Ankles, Knees, Shoulders and Elbows are all large joints. Grabbing the majority of fingers/toes at once is allowed.

Seems pretty clear to me that this is referencing grabbing/twisting at fingers and toes, i.e. in a grappling context. Not striking at them. If you're in a locale that permits stomping on toes without considering it "small joint manipulation", I don't see why hitting them with elbows and hammerfists would be any different.

That being said, sometimes weird acts that don't come up often generate a response from a ref regardless, who -- in practice -- has wide discretion & latitude in officiating a bout. Like when Don'Tale Mayes literally started pelvic-thrusting Josh Parisian in the face from north-south as a form of GnP... the ref was like "Hey stop that!" (thankfully)... but I don't actually know if Mayes was breaking any rules???

There's lots of effective moves which fighters never do because they're low IQ. Tickling to get out of sub attempts is also legit yet fighters never do it. Pinching is also legal. You can cause immense pain by pinching skin really hard, especially on the chest

No clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh.

Some places you're not allowed to stomp feet. There was a UFC card this year where they couldn't do it lol. It was pretty dumb.
Pretty sure the actual rule is that foot stomps of a standing opponent are allowed, but foot stomps (or any stomps) of a grounded opponent are not allowed.

Yeh, that is the rule, I think. That said, there was really a card where standing foot stomps were also illegal. It was in Quebec this year for UFC 315.

A ref did pause one of the fights to tell a fighter off for this.

They also didn't allow kicks to the knee, even standing. For some reason they considered it a ground strike. A fighter got warned after throwing one too lol.

It was all very weird. The fighters didn't really know what was going on.

Also the back. I guess there is rules against it.
Not supposed to hit the spine ... but back ribs, liver, etc
that shit will hurt.

I got in a fight when I was 19 and I was worried little bitch ass would go to narc me out so I just wailed on his fucking back.

It was fun. For me. Not.. not for that dude. But fuck him

I was thinking if I didn't bruise his face maybe I wouldn't get in trouble.

I was wrong.

I never ever considered trying to mangle some toes.
Thats fuckin dark.
What about an open palm smack to the back when you are held against the fence with the guy trying to secure a single or double leg. That ought to wake him up with rage and cause an adrenaline dump.

That's so strange!

Yeh, there's all sorts of weird shit with their commission haha.

The knee kick when standing I remember was great. Ref says don't do that, and I think both fighters sorta paused for a moment and were like "Don't do what, dog?"

Like a slap?
the way a bully would do to try to leave a handprint?

I can dig it.

Any elbow or knee repeated targeting the same spot in the back/hip/tailbone would really suck. Ribs... shoulder blade

I heard Bas Ruten talk about kneeing people really really hard in the ass, trying to injure or fracture the tailbone.

It looks pretty vulnerable to me. It doesn't really serve a purpose anymore and it just evolutionary leftovers, small bone, not well supported.

I think if a fighter committed to it: from that seat belt position... I think you could break someone's ass.

And you could apply the "aim for the moon, hit the stars" philosophy. Even if you don't succeed in breaking their ass bone... even if you just badly bruise it.

bet that would hurt like a motherfucker. <Y2JSmirk>

Gillian Robertson elbowed Luana Pinheiro in the butt a few times. Luana spoke about it after the fight, she said the elbows caused her some problems.
