fuuuuck that gundam game looks cool
Every Pizza Hut I ever went to as a kid had a 1942 cabinet along with some SNK game.Seemed like in the mid 90s every family restaurant/ bar had. High Speed or Eightball deluxe.

As for hotels as I kid I could not wait to scope out what arcade games they had. SFII and MK were always around and some how that 1942 airplane shooter always showed up. Usually every hotel game had smashed broken buttons or out of order sign. Ah the good ole days.
Our 2 had the flat top Pac-Man and excite bike cabinet.Every Pizza Hut I ever went to as a kid had a 1942 cabinet along with some SNK game.
@Holic did you ever encounter anyone saying no throw cheese? Id spit in their fuckin face.

We have one here but they got some played out selections.I miss that vibe. Like nothing was cooler than spotting a new game, and wishing you could take it home.
We have two bars in NYC that are called BARCADE that have like 20 or so old school machines. Thats something i never did back then was drink and play.
I loved the shit out of this.Goddamn, right. I remember when I had the rented out arcade for my 12 birthday, I played a whole lot of that pinball game and this:

If memory serves, I actually managed to beat this one, but only because it was free.
You have to make peace with that, with these games. The experience, graphics and sound are still very entertaining, but yes challenge wise, its pretty much pure relentlessness (quarters)Because of the MAME, i ended up not liking this anymore, along with simpsons, and xmen. Having infinite quarters really showed that there was no skill to build, just pay to play.
This man clearly overheard our discussion and made a youtube video.
Oh just to walk into a dark and small arcade to hear that SNK jingle again.
