Its quite interesting fight. To the eye Jakes work looks better but just how bad were that one youtuber and Nate "the Great" Robinson? Could even Ben have beaten those two with his hands only?
Only result that would surprise me would be Ben winning the fight early. Every other result seems possible.

Threat of the take down, they were more worried about his take down attempt than his striking that's why they were all back pedaling. Boxing gloves are heavier. All he throws is an overhand right to a take down attempt. He can't go for takedowns in boxing and if his only real punch is an over hand right, that's not much in boxing. Way too easy to read and predict. No jab or real set ups. Very easy to counter in pure boxing.

He was working on combinations at Wild Card, so hopefully he adds those in the mix. He needs to move his head though and tuck his chin. His head is always in the same spot and never moves.

I'm sure Jake Paul would box him up in a gym sparring session. However it's a televised boxing match and Jake Paul might blow his wad with an adrenaline dump.

He's had a couple big fights already with over 1m viewers. He should be used to it by now. Mentally though knowing that Ben is the most decorated fighter he's fought could get to him during the fight. But once Jake starts connecting he'll most likely get comfortable. Start of the fight will be the biggest tell on how the rest of the fight is going to go.

The trash talking aspect was always going to be easy for Ben with these youngsters. They are too used to yes men who laugh at their stupid jokes... as well as back and forth with other youngsters who have stupid come backs themselves.

But when it's a legit troll on the spot, which Ben can be, the youngsters don't know how to handle the confrontation thats in their face.

THAT ALL BEING SAID, I've watched Jake's past fights.. and as much as Ben is getting in his head, one thing I can say about him is in a ring he's pretty focused... and listens to his coaches.. so I'm sure his corner will have him ready.

Disclaimer: I lost an AV bet, unfortunately. Just so you know lol.

Now,
the closer this fight approaches, the less confident I am in Askren having any real chance of winning. I've heard the likes of Chael and a couple of others say that Askren will win by virtue of "being a competitor" but I don't buy that.
Yes , he's a competitor - a former competitor, who happens to not only be retired, but 36 years old, coming off of hip surgery and he's inconveniently competing in a sport he happens to be absolutely horrendous at.

So what's this competitor stuff? He's not gonna die in there? He's gonna survive eating punches until Jake gasses and then beat him up in the clinch? Idk about all that.

Look, Jake Paul is a clown and nothing would be more glorious to witness on screen than to see him get laid out cold by Ben but if we're being objective here, the kid is young, in good shape, bigger,and he's been taking the sport seriously for a couple of years now.

It's really hard to imagine anything other than Ben collecting the sorriest paycheck of his life - for getting beat up by an obnoxious Youtuber.
